VIP deck on XLR?

does anyone have any pics of the VIP deck on a XLR. I'm looking at getting a 29HFS really soon and was really interested in this option mainly as a place for the dogs to lay. but cant seem to find much info on the exact one for the XLR. Does it have steps? and how hard is it to move out the way when you load or unload Toys in the garage?

thanks
Forrest

I'll shoot some pictures when my 2017 29HFS arrives this month. I couldn't find any pictures online either but still opted for the $1200-1700 option.

Looks like Tim's XLR is the same set-up as our Vengeance's. Not sure how the 29HFS set-up works or if its different.

As for unloading, you pull the pins holding the cable to the ramp and the ramp goes to the ground. You have to let the patio rails hang out in the air free. That back part of the rail folds in. Its not recommended to leave them out there for an extended period of time because the weight may cause them to sag over time. But leaving them hanging long enough to load and unload toys is no problem.

Mine also came with steps. But quite often, we don't take them with us. We actually have two patios and we rarely use the steps enough to make them worth the trouble of hauling them in the garage. They just get in the way back there.

The steps are super quick and easy to remove and install.

FYI- On the new (2017) Thunderbolts they changed about all of the rear deck. It is now all MorRyde stuff. FINALLY got away from Lippert!! The new doors are 0 gravity and the rail system is not pinned to the deck. It folds up inside of itself and swings while anchored to the door frame. Not sure if this is just an upgrade for the Thunderbolts, but it is SWEET!! The whole system is operational using 1 hand. That new door is one reason we decided not to get the 2016 leftover and are going to wait for a 2017.

The steps are an option. It would depend on how a particular trailer was ordered. Ours does not have them, and I don't think I would haul/use them if it did. The side door is 8' away. I really don't need another set of steps to take up garage space.

Finally received my 2017 29HFS last friday with the party deck option. This is what the new Lippert party deck option from the factory looks like. Well worth the money! Wish it had an awning option though.

The XLR Thunderbolts patio package included the manual awning and railing.
The small awning for the back patio is over $1000 not installed. You can use a 8x8 ez up canopy for less than $100 to get a better coverage.

That's the set-up like our Vengeance has. Extremely easy to set-up and fold up. We've been pleasantly surprised how much we enjoy "patio life".
