Wall Paper Issues
My 2011 XLR 35X14 has a wallpaper virus. Little bumps have appeared in various places throughout the coach with most in the garage. Last week a soft bubble about the size of two half dollars appeared behind the bathroom door on the outer wall. I pierced the bubble with a pin and red liquid began to drip from the pin hole. Has anyone else experienced these problems with your wall paper?

Have not ever had that problem but some how you have moisture in the camper. If they are in different areas of the camper I wouldn't think it is from a leak. Sounds more like condensation.

Oh No you stabbed it and it's bleeding  (sorry I couldn't help myself) I haven't had that problem I did have an RV that all the wall paper srank everywhere.

The bubble is about half way down the wall. I don't think it is condensation as I leave the AC on about 80 to keep the coach dry. I also leave two dry-zee-air canisters in the coach at all times. Beats me!

I've been thinking about this issue and just don't understand how water could be getting in the wall. The roof is good and I keep two desiccator canister in the fiver, one in the garage and one in the galley, so I don't think it is condensation. The only thing I can think of is an outside speaker allowing water to penetrate the wall during a blowing rain. What do you think?

Anything is possible. It could be some of the caulk around speaker or window.

It is Labor Day Weekend and I noticed the bubble under the wall paper again this morning. The wall around it is solid and it is not near a window or door. It is right behind the bathroom door about door knob high and to the right of the sink. Makes no sense to me. It still has the chicken pox in the garage but doesn't seem to have any other symptoms like a soft wall.

when my 2014 XLR was in for punch list work I paid my dealer to pressure test the rig.
they found 1 leak which was fixed under warranty.
the cost of the pressure test was covered by me but its cheap insurance vs replacing a wall.

I've never heard of pressure testing am RV, but it sounds like a good idea. I'll give it a try next time at the dealer. Thanks.

Your bubbles sound like Moisture alright. If water is wicking in through the roof, such a sealed fitting, it can pick up red dye from the luan construction board or a rusty fastener. Have seen both and can be chalked as red dyed water. It can run down the inside of the wall sit on the luan and soak through to the decorative board inside. A pressure test wouldn't help you, takes too long for the water to complete its route.
