It can be attached directly to the frame. I just drilled a 1/2" hole in the top & bot. flange of the frame and used a square tube with a hole in it to sit the post covers on. It does not require a bumper.

I use 4 plastic tubs I bought at Costco. One marked sewer contains the sewer hose plus I keep latex gloves and the short water hose dedicated to the black tank flush and cleanup. One marked electrical that I keep the main cord, drop cords, lights, etc. One marked water that I put various fresh water hoses, sprayers, etc. in - but nothing used with sewer! The last one is marked misc that contains various odds and ends - like a grill accessories, gas lantern, gas hoses, 1lb bottles, etc. All four of these easily fit in the outside compartment with room to spare for a canopy, toolbox, folding table and camp grill. Organization is key!
