hello, question, we have a 24 fqsl and when I am using the water heater on electric only I turn the switch on outside at the heater unit, the dealer told me also to turn the water heater switch on the inside control on also ( dsi water heater switch ) do I have to have the inside switch on also when I am only running it on electric, I thought the inside switch was only for using the heater on propane, thanks joe
Nope. You're correct. The inside switch is for the propane heating element. You CAN run them both at the same time (electric + gas) for faster heating, but they are independent heating elements.
For the Mrs's or daughters.. electric + gas are required. LOL
hey thanks for the reply, next time out I will try to use just the electric switch, I have been using both per the dealers info, don't you just love a dealer that knows his product l.o.l. thanks again joe
Just the two of us do not use that much hot water but if there are more taking showers or long showers the electric element alone may not keep up with the demand.
