What comes with an XLR?
We just recently ordered a 2017 XLR 29HFS and had a question on what standard things normally comes with it.
- Does this come with a decent blackwater hose? Or should I invest in a rhinoflex. Does the hose fit in the bumper?
- Water hose?
- Water pressure regulator?
- Wheel chocks?
Is there anything else I should "amazon" before I pick it up?
Thanks for helping this newbie!
Tony

Ours only came with the power cord.
There is a tube under the trailer for the drain hose, but it's useless for any sort of descent hose. (There is no rear bumper on a toy hauler)

What comes with an XLR?
U will need everything
Water hose - I like the expandable ones that fit in your hand and expand to 50ft like on TV make sure it's got the plastic ends for RVing no lead
Sewer hose - storage container for sewer hose
Sewer hose 90 ends - required at most Campgrounds now - sealed fit to campground sewer
WDH hitch - like Anderson WDH
Anderson level kit -
Level bubble kit
120v to 240V adapter
At Least 2 12v deep cycle batteries
Locks for toyhauler rear door
Will need soon
Broom - vacuum
New mattress
Entry mats
Outdoor patio big rug /mat - very nice to have
And then there are lots of mods --
Start on page one of WW - what did you do to your HyperLight today - and your be good for at least a year lol

Oh good call on the lack of bumper. What do people do with the hose? Rubbermaid tote?

They come with 1 cheap 12v - I advise you change that out to 2 12v deep cycle - for piece of mind if you plan on any dry camping

Batteries are installed by the dealer, not the factory.

It comes with shore power line and the spray hose for the outside spigot if you get anything else it would have to be something the dealer throws in.

I have a different XLR, but mine came with a pvc slinky storage tube under the trailer. It only holds a 10' hose. I had to buy a bigger one from Amazon for my 15' hose. I keep the clear elbow and other sewer fittings in a small rubbermade tote.

My suggestions after camping in our XLR for the last 4 years. Invest in see thru Rubbermaid containers. We use one for sewer hose, fittings, and black tank water hose for flush and one for electrical cords, adapters, and Progressive power management device. A smaller one for fresh water hose and water pressure regulator. Other items needed include wood or plastic pads to level trailer side to side, wood for under tongue to level front to back. Chocks ( black rubber) from Harbor Freight for your trailer wheels.
What are you planning on carrying in the back of your toy hauler?

we picked up our new 2015 XLR last April in Ohio. They told us already to go and did a walk through. Hadn't owned a camper for at least 20yrs and is wasn't no 42ft 5th wheel, lol. Anyway, we had a two day drive back to Texas. They said they filled the water tank, NOT. Wife not to happy when I got a hot shower the first night and she didn't as we ran out of water at a rest stop. No water hoses or sewer lines so that was our next stop at Walmart. If you have a generator make sure to check that the hose from the extra fill tank will reach the generator tank. We ran out of fuel in the generator late one nite and the hose was about 4inches to short. Could just see someone at the plant laughing his ass off. Got back to texas and camping world has been glad to see me every time I walk through the door. lol. Getting everything you need is an on going project.

A way to change a tire if need be. Your TV jack may not work and the lugs may be a different size. I use a trailer aid plus and an impact wrench with a torque stick socket. Be sure to have a torque wrench with you. The wheels will need to be re-torqued frequently during the first several hundred miles.

PH - the expandable hose from TV is not for potable water. I don't even think it's recommend for watering plants.
We only use it for draining the grey water or washing the trailer.
