What compressor do you bring camping?

Looking into a good air compressor for my XLR and motorcycles.

What brand and model do you use for your TH and motorcycles ?

I bought this one:

Amazon.com: Viair 00088 88P Portable Air Compressor: Automotive

along with this:

Amazon.com: Viair (00016) 6' Portable Compressor Air Extension Hose: Automotive

This hooks directly to the battery with clips because it is a heavier duty model.

I keep a Porter Cable 120 volt 6 gallon pancake compressor on the truck as well as a VIAIR 450P 12 volt. Both have served me well.

I picked this up. Found it on sale for $109. Good reviews. Paired it with a 35 foot Flexzilla air hose. No other hose compares.

Shop Kobalt 1.5-HP 3-Gallon 155-PSI 120-Volt Hot Dog Portable Electric Air Compressor at Lowes.com

Don't have a gen yet so it won't be much help on the road, but good once in camp. It has a low profile and doesn't fall over like the pancake compressors. Actually have yet to try it, bought it to blow out the water lines for a specific trip but had to cancel.

If you have room, THIS ONE from Harbor freight is a good value.
$59.99 regularly but they often have them in the sales flyer for $39.99.

I also carry a portable 12v jumper that has a small 12v compressor built in.
Similar to THIS ONE from HF but a different brand.

One thing to remember when looking at compressors is the CFM rating. Lots of the little ones have really pathetic ratings, which means they will take forever to do anything. In the class of inexpensive little compressors that Kobalt I posted has a CFM rating of 2.6 at 90 PSI. I couldn't find anything in a similar size with more CFM for the money.

your correct, but CFM rating isn't too important for tire inflating. More so for trying to run an air powered tool. 12 volt compressors will have lower ratings, but you don't always have 120 volts available. Only good at home or the campsite. Worthless on the road, since most of us don't carry generators.

I bought this 12 volt compressor years ago to have as back up for traveling.
Now that I have replaced the 5th wheel pin box with an Trail-Air Tri-Glide
I have it ready for use in the front storage compartment along with a 12 volt outlet...quick and ready for the Air-Bag.
It is supper handy, light, compact, economical and does the job very well...even the truck tires @ 65 ~ 70.
I also adapted the hoses with quick disconnect and carry a 100ft hose for doing all the truck & trailer tires.
Picture & Specs.
12V Direct Drive Digital Compressor inflates to a maximum of 100 psi
Inflates an R15 size tire from 0 to 30 psi in about 3 minutes
Three LED worklight makes it easy to locate tire valves when working in the dark
Auto shut-off feature stops inflation when desired pressure is reached.

Hope this helps

We have a Vaiar we bring camping (plugs onto the truck battery). I made a 25-foot extension power cable so it would reach back to the RV tires while hooked up. It's very small but is powerful, even has no problems with the big truck tires.

For the house, I have a small 3-gallon compressor I picked up at Harbor Freight.

Same here. We never go camping without it. Before our TT, we owned a diesel pusher, wide body and used this for checking 100+lb pressures and it always kept everything right. Allowed me to sleep nights.

Kobalt

X2 on this one. Good price, light weight, low profile, and higher cutout pressure. Resides in my basement 365.
