If I were you, I would take the amp off the ceiling (or wall) and bypass the amp and by adding a coax barrel connector, wire the antenna directly to one TV and try that first. If yours is like mine a TV is handy there. Let us know the results?

Well they put our amp in the storage area behind a bunch of other wiring. You have to be some kind of contortionist to even try to get at it. They also put my subwoofer in the storage area and screwed a small right angle bracket to the side of it and the floor of the storage area, again behind the wall. It was all beat up because the one bracket didn't secure it and it's been flopping all over every time we hit rough spots on the roads.

In the forward storage compartment?

What model do you own?

I'm talking about the antenna amplifier ( with the green LED).

Yes they put it in the front storage compartment. I have the XLR THUNDERBOLT 340X12.

You one of the big boys. Is there anyway you could extend the antenna coax to a TV and see what you have? I would first try to prove if the antenna or the amp is possibly bad ( or wiring).

Yes I am. I can usually get the wifey to get in places I can't but it's just too tight plus she's claustrophobic. Wouldn't disconnecting the antenna and hooking up the portable antenna prove the Winegard batwing isn't working? That's what finally got the TV's to work. If it were a cable problem then the portable shouldn't have worked.

I was saying your rig is large, not that you are

You've only proved the TV is good.

There are several possible culprits.

The antenna with its cable with crimped on ends; the amp (which needs 12 volts) and must be turned "on", with its cable and crimped ends; possibly a splitter with more connections and cables. You proved the TV isn't getting over the air signal with enough strength but not that the antenna itself is the culprit. If the amp is so hard to get to, how are you expected to be able to turn it on for over the air and off for campground (or satellite) cable service??

I did find the on button and it is on. Tried turning it off and on again. This is so aggravating. I couldn't believe where they installed this because you're right. How is someone supposed to get to it. I've watched several videos where it was installed in a storage cabinet over the bed or installed on a wall.

Could it be as simple as a bad coax end? Or even a bad amp?

If you have your selling dealer open a ticket for repairs, they should help find someone who will work in it close to you.

A warranty repair has to be started with the selling dealer.

Also contact the FR warranty person for your model; he or she will help. She certainly did for me! There is a contact list posted in this forum; its in my computer but I have no internet. My contact is Diane Daly (XLR)

I also have had to find a shop on my own one time. I also bought out of state (RV Wholesalers ) and they have done okay by me.
I also worked with Diane. She was absolutely amazing so far. Definitely went above and beyond to help me with my issues.

Well, she wasn't sure what to do so far so contacted the plant and told them to contact me. They never did so I've let her know and she's trying to get it solved. I had also asked if she could help me find a local dealer that would do the warranty work.
