Thank you very much for the kind words S! I am happy to help and happy to get help as needed. Congrats on getting the new TH. I am looking forward to photos from you.

I hope we all share camping experience and photos this summer. Not counting the one's in Vegas... they have to stay there I am ready to hit the road, for sure.

PH, the door stop is from either HD or Lowes. I think they both have essentially the same bronze magnetic stop. The stove cover came from rvpartscountry.com and was $63.97 with shipping. Delivered quickly.

WW,
Do you recommend any campgrounds near Vegas? I travel there a couple times a year to get out of the Minnesota cold but would love to camp some time in the spring/fall. (summer is just too hot for this warm blooded body... ).

SteveJD,
I've only been there once and stayed at Nellis AFB Famcamp, but Hitchin' Post looked pretty good, tight, but clean. You almost certainly know the area better than me. I would post on the On the Road forum and check it out.

WolfWhistle,
I'm afraid most of my winter trips to Vegas have been inside the casinos for the most part. I have rented a bike in the past out there and rode around Lake Mead, Red Rock and Valley of Fire. Just looking for a new way to see Vegas (other than inside...). I was out there once in July. I don't care how dry it was, this northern was HOT...

Appreciate the recommendations. I will try the other forum as well...

by the time you get done with all your add ons you'll be at your total cargo weight . forgot you got the upgraded 5200# axles . lucky you

the only thing i'm doing is insulating the underneath . thinking about taking out the pocket doors for the bedroom . don't need them , extra weight . also going to lose some weight buy taking the matress out of the electric bed in the garage etc . try and lighten the dry weight as much as i can .

Northstar -

Do you still plan on ripping the gray water tank out and replacing with fresh like you talked about earlier ?

Well this evening I turned the valves from winter storage to summer useage mode. Went through the trailer inside and looks like that part lived the winter well. On the down side both fender skirts are cracked, if I had to guess screws were too tight and the cold weather caused em to crack. Hopefully I can get some warranty on those.

Will go see the dealer later in the week before work.

I saw a few brand new units on dealer lots this weekend with cracked fender skirts too. Hopefully they'll cover them for you, it's obviously a defect if the brand new ones are doing it too.

I want to design new fender skirts; bring them closer to the tires. Introduce some "aero" down the sides. The major anti-aero is the big flat buttinski.

Started the process of making the silverware drawer. For the most part I'm utilizing WW's design. Got the box made with materials I had on hand.Click image for larger version

Chalk up another one for cracked fender skirts. Brand new in Dec, first time out this past weekend and noticed the cracks. Called warranty specialist at dealer...wouldn't you know she was out today, but tomorrow is a different story. Hope it's covered.

I would hope it would be covered , when i picked mine up a few weeks ago noticed the cracked fender in the pdi . They did send me a new one but this was before i left the dealer lot , install is not hard but a pain , when i got the old one off there where 3 screw holes per screw , guess they had to move it a few times for the correct alinement , they should not ave screwed through all the points before knowing it was set right , Or this was the 3rd fender on this new unit. getting the light cover off is a pain ,the reflector is screwed and stuck on . if you screw up the tape you'll need to put a white backing on the reflector . I was able to peel mine off with out damage . get a good tube of black silicone , seal things up before installing fender , like extra screw holes and the wrap edges of the mounting areas etc. don't over tighten the thing does not fit like a glove , so take your time [if you get one] getting it located correctly . then a good bead of black silicone . it also helps to use the old one laid over the new to mark certian holes for the lights and reflectors

Finished up installing the Biker Bar for the wife's Sporty yesterday. Of course (after having been completely opposed to the idea at first,) she saw the one I had installed for my SG and then she wanted one! We'll see how well they work this weekend, heading to Castaways in OCMD Friday!
