Chalk this to "lessons learned" about the Condor and not fastening to the floor. The condor has not moved about while hauling, so it didn't see a need to fasten it to the floor. Well ole "fix it if it ain't broke" guy decided to adjust the "thing" for a smaller tire which would make it fit the tire tighter; and it did. However, (or BUT) I could not get the tire out of it (Condor) by myself. As I yanked and yanked, the Condor kept slidding back and would not let the tire lift as it rolled back. I had to pry it out with a board I carry. So, today I am going to screw it down, somehow. Temporarily, I changed the adjuster like it was and I was able to get the tire out yesterday after getting back from Clermont. I would think this same "lesson learned" could apply to other brands that hold the front tire and require lifting as it rolls in or out.

What cha think? Not sure of he RTOI. Maybe not such a great idea, but wonder what the increase in mileage would be. I'm guessing 2 MPG which would equate to 20% MOL.
More details. The lower front corners are rounded and in front of the rear tire there is a splitter to direct air left and right of tire. The rear "cam back" is framed in thin wall aluminum as is the roof piece and all is covered with 1/8" sheet plastic material like the dirt track modified guys use.
The rear panel "sails" are built something like the lower picture of a TT rig.

I tried on the way down at a TA truck stop to get a new weight, but they wouldn't take a Visa for fuel, so I decided to take my business elsewhere. Plus they had one cashier and a line out the door. Note to self, TA sucks.
BTW, I averaged 10.8 MPG driving down to Clermont (via Leesburg) and a combined 10.2 MPG coming back (had to fill up). This was calculated by hand using GPS distances, since my speedo is now between 6 and 7 percent off (slow). I had a very strong cross wind most of the way back; hitting me left side and nearly head on some of the time (300 degs ?). With this and the deep big rig grooves in the road, I was not liking having to chase the front end most of the way home. I am not sure if a sway system of another brand would be better, but I'm about to junk this one. Its too fussy. Another thing: when I leave the spring bars loose (4 links hanging); it was easy to cause the front tires to slide while stopping on wet pavement (yes, the antilock was doing all it could do); but when I let 5 links hang, it is very easy to spin tires when taking off. I elected to let 5 hang so it will stop better. With the 800lb/ft of torque I can spin tires at will and at nearly any speed. I'm not used to this much power. The type of macadam they used on US-27 didn't offer very good traction.

NS, are you talking about the fuel or the rear grey tank?

Sunday morning before we came over to visit you WW, I replaced the black tank flush valve with a cable system so I don't have to get on my knees and reach under the camper to open and close it. Works great!

I bolted my bike chock in with lag screws that only went 1/8" through the flooring material. My ultra classic weighs a lot and sometimes takes two people just to get off the chock. I didn't think the chock would stay still unless bolted in.

I went to my local RV dealer (not even where I bought mine) armed with my VIN and pictures of an existing leg. They ordered it directly from Forest River. Got the top and bottom pieces that exactly matched mine. All I needed was to take the screws to the hardware store and match em up.

Very, very nice work Dave. I remember something being said about adding a leg to the table; now I understand.
The front wheel chock... I will probably just do the same as you, but I've seen a blind faster that acts something like the little molly bolt, hollow wall anchor, but heavy duty. I think the floor is 3/4 plywood, which holds pretty well. I'll check with Lowes, they have a nice selection of specialty fasteners, etc. I'll also drill a small test hole and probe with a wire to be sure the tank isn't too close. I believe NS, but who knows if our two units are mirror images in that regard.
I still can't believe XLR would put the black tank "handle" in such a "crappy" place, if you get my drift. Some of us are handi-crapped! This should be a mandatory mod... again, nice job, Buddy.
The only think I haven't done is order a 12" extension for the rear grey tank dump handle... as far as working on the nasty side of things. I noticed the cable is getting a little hard to pull. I'm going to lube the cable soon.

I put the Condor adjustment back where it was, needless to say. Still going to lag it down. I was going to do it yesterday, but when I decided to do it, it rained. And, I melt.

Performed a roof cleaning and then washed the remainder of the trailer. First wash so had some black streaks to remove. Looks better now. Once it's dry need to treat the roof.

What do you use to remove streaks, BG?
I have something I bought from CW that doesn't work so well. I use a polishing compound on the glossy gelcoat but there should be something better and still not harmful to the finish.
I have the roof treatment but haven't found time and a good day to do it. I washed it and it rained for 4 days. It takes something like 12 hours to dry. It says on the jug.
Is your's like this?

I'm very interested in hearing about the cleaning process people have been using on the new 2015/2016 XLR's. I have read the posts on the general forum but hearing from this group is ALWAYS nice...

Because I had them on my first camper, I read a few old posts on this site about black streaks. What stuck with me about those posts was that the authors said black streaks are caused by not cleaning your roof regularly. I keep my camper covered when not in use, but have cleaned my roof 3 times since buying a year ago. I don't try to scrub it white, just soap, brush and rinse. So far no streaks, but it's barely over a year old yet. Time will tell.

Wesley's tire cleaner and white towel takes off streaks like magic. Then a coat or two of a good automotive wax.
