Cool thanks. I think any stabilizer, even the heavy duty ones, can't do what the JTs can do.

Add led step lighting and a 2 channel remote. 1 button turns step lights on and off and other button turns awning light on and off. I kept the single switch inside turns them both on. Nice when I come back to camper at night when it pitch dark.

Dropped mine off at the dealership for some warranty repair work. So far FR has gone above and beyond to get my issues taken care of.. including my gray water tank issue. They sent me a 2nd tank and the dealership will hopefully be installing it this week (if not, I'll be doing it myself). FR was great to work with and once everything is all finished, I'll definitely be leaving some feedback on here. Can't wait to get it back with now 62 gallons of gray water capacity!

Nice JR! I added 2 remotes, one for the awning and the other for interior indirect lighting over the slide.. they also dim. I have the motion sensor Starlight at the door which is very handy. I would like to add step lights (maybe just tie into the awning light)

I'm having to use my tote to dump my tanks where I'm camped / volunteering... PITA!

Yea. The 24HFS is incorrectly advertised as having a 57 gallon gray water capacity. I think they just copied / pasted it from the other models that have 2 tanks. I noticed something was odd on one of the first trips when it filled a lot faster than I would have expected. I finally got a chance to drop the lower cover and found that there was only 1 tank installed and it was only 31 gallons. So I spoke with FR and after some discussion, they sent me a 2nd 31 gallon gray tank to have installed with just a crossover pipe. That way it will end up doubling the capacity and give me roughly 62 gallons now.

New to the site.. Thumbed thru all of these and found some great ideas. Thanks for sharing all of this!

I haven't done much to our 30FQSL yet. We added the tv's early in and the Onan generator. We have a 15 month old and our biggest change was converting the hauler into a playroom.

Part of this process was to get my fishing rods higher up. The rods ended up being a great place for a make shift baby camera.

We took it to the lake over the 4th. Got caught overnight with a pop up squall and it bent the awning arm and also ended up bending it so far to puncture the roof. A 12k lb camper shaking in the wind is a scary thing. Hoping to have back next week. I want to start working on some of the stuff you guys have posted!

Sorry to see the damage to your awning. There is a benefit to poles and tie downs for preventing this type of damage.

I agree.. We went inside to put our son down and sit around for a little bit. There was no breeze and the hourly forecast called for 5mph winds. 30 minutes later we were in 60 to 70 mph gusts. I normally roll it back at night if I know of a storm. It was crazy! I think our pop up shade took the brunt of it though...

Garage Bed

A lot of the XLR's come with a garage bed, but mine didn't.

So I ordered from the factory and got to work. Had a few missing parts, but the install was really not that hard.

OG, Your had experience should serve to remind us how easy it is to have an awning torn off... Hope repairs work well.

Nice to see you have you bed installed Steve!

So finally found the problem with our TV's not working. The antenna is junk. Contacted some local dealers who sell FR and got the response you didn't buy it here so we either won't work on it or we don't know when we can get to it. When I bought this camper I had to go out of state because no one local carried a toy hauler and wouldn't work with us. Contacted FR to see if they could help us find someone local to do the work or just send us a replacement antenna and we'll install ourselves. Been a week and still waiting for a response from FR. Have been pretty frustrated so far with trying to get warranty work done. Don't want to haul it 3-5 hours away one way for work. We were told when we bought it we could take to any FR dealer for work. Unfortunately we have found out that is not true.

Hey where do you live and where did you buy from. I have had same issue, but I did find a local dealer that will work on it if need be.

I'm trying to respond to #293 (mgmalm). This is the antenna on thousands upon thousands of units. The amplifier / switch is as well. What trouble you are having isn't inherent to the product, why do you feel its junk? I'm trying to remember but was your problem LED lighting interfering with your TV?

Could it be as simple as a bad coax end? Or even a bad amp?

If you have your selling dealer open a ticket for repairs, they should help find someone who will work in it close to you.

A warranty repair has to be started with the selling dealer.

Also contact the FR warranty person for your model; he or she will help. She certainly did for me! There is a contact list posted in this forum; its in my computer but I have no internet. My contact is Diane Daly (XLR)

I also have had to find a shop on my own one time. I also bought out of state (RV Wholesalers ) and they have done okay by me.

No. We didn't have any interference. One day all the TVs are working and the next time you can't pick up any channels. We tried everything and took everything apart in the storage area and still couldn't get them to work. Finally disconnected the antenna and hooked up good old rabbit ears and everything worked. Now if I can just get FR to send me a new antenna I'll be up and running again.
