What do you do when your furnace stops working?? Make Ponderosa Coffee!!

Ok I am making the most out of the fact that our furnace for no reason just "Locked Out" and now needs a dealer to fix it...thank you FR warranties.....so to have fun, spent the day 4 wheeling around! Now as I come in for the day and warm up, I am making some Ponderosa Coffee. I learned the recipe from a little restaurant/bar when we stayed at the Mount Rushmore KOA! It is so yummy and a perfect cold weather drink!

Drizzle chocolate syrup on the inside of a large coffee mug.
Add 1 shot of E&J Brandy
Add 1 & 1/2 shots of Baileys
Fill mug nearly to top with hot coffee
Top with whipped Cream
Drizzle chocolate syrup on top

Sip and enjoy by the fire, or curled up with a good book! Or in my case, till you can go to bed and get under the electric blanket and wait the cold out till morning! Thank goodness for electric heaters!

Hey, Chicky, sorry to read about your heater. Just wanted to remind you if you don't have anything in the garage that needs to stay warm you can shut the door to keep the heat in the living area. And you got your fireplace working, right?? Ahhhhh- you just wanted a reason to snuggle anyway!!! Hope it isn't going to get too cold out there tonight!!

Hey there MightyMike!! So happy to hear from you! It is supposed to get to 13 tonight, soooooo...snuggle it is!! Our fireplace had the blower mother replaced the week we brought it home, but we found the actual outlet to now be defective. There is not a good fit when the fireplace is plugged in, and the electrician that repaired the blower said it could arc in the panel and start a fire....so it has been unplugged ever since. It's sad because it is such a beautiful and effective fireplace. Oh well, it will be fixed now that we have to take it to a dealer to fix the furnace. I have a space heater in the man cave, and was thinking I should leave it on....if only for the plumbing for the washer/dryer.

Time for one more Ponderosa Coffee, and a good movie on Netflix.

I really don't see a need to wait for the heat to fail, that drink sounds good even with a warm RV.
