What have you done to make your rig more personal?

Has anyone added a headboard in their XLR? Note: my 29HFS the bed is north - south and there is room for a headboard. I'm thinking of maybe some art in that area... or? There is not much in my TH that is personal. What have you done to make it your's?

A padded headboard is a must have. 😝

I took out the dinette and put two Lazyboy recliners in its place. Love it.

Not too much for me trying to keep the weight down, but i did build in a tool box in the garage that doubles as a night stand and storage and added a couple stickers to the rear of the unit

I just installed a grill locker in the void aft of the spare tire on my 29 HFS. I posted photos under
The "Cargo Locker" post. It holds my Coleman propane grill and misc.

I also added, the little battery powered led in the kitchen cabinets to see deep in the cupboards. They are only a few bucks on Amazon. I also used it for ambient lighting under the hang up cabinet in forward bedroom. It allows neat mood lighting and lights to see where to charge the phone.

We have added LED lite string to the inside of our slides to shine inside at night or dark days. White LED in the living area and 3 switches with three colors in the bedroom, makes for multiple color combinations to fit your mood. Plans to add LED to the Island in the kitchen area and in the glass shower stall. Changed the hanging lights over the island to colorful shades, made ourselves. I will attach a picture of those, the LED inside it is hard to take a picture at this time. Pictures don't do them justice. We are beach people so we have added shell pictures and beach throws to the sofa. I want to change the brown curtains to a color, but the jury is out on that yet, can't really decide what color. God Bless Be thankful and enjoy your blessings

We have a problem deciding what to do with our gas grill. Maybe this would be a good solution. It is in our under storage right now, but when it is not cleaned up, that is not a good solution! I will have to look up on Cargo Locker posts. Thanks for sharing!

Re personalization: We bought our unit- a 21 FBS TT - used; so it had several command hooks around. Some we have found uses for- others we pulled and moved other places.
They also had a towel bars and shelves combo installed in the bathroom. Works well. Also a hanging banana "hammock" in the kitchen area. We use for the coffee pot items and the remote.
We had to add a cat door to the bathroom door as we are traveling with 2 cats; (put their litter box in the shower).
The first thing we did was to put a curtain rod through the bottom of our curtains over the bed a they would hang in our face when pulled closed for the night. We attached the curtain rod the wall without any trouble.
Also we hung a paper towel holder over the sink area. Other projects in the works.
Have fun-

No room to sacrifice for adding a headboard. We added hanging art.

Similar......

Sold the couch on craigslist and bought two lazyboy's.

Got the table and chairs rather than space wasting dinette, took two chairs in the house....moved the table to the corner.

Ripped out one bedside wardrobe, sold the mattress on craigslist, and put in a custom built KING mattress.

.....feels more like home....

I did this too. The dinette was a waist of space and catch all. We really enjoy the recliners.

Personal!

Added recessed T.P. holder in the bathroom.

In our Crusader, on the driver's side of the bed next to the closet, we built and added a fabric pad so when the wife rolls over at night, no more head whacking! It was just nice hard, cold wood. The padding under the fabric is high density 2 1/2" memory foam.

The panel is removable with 4 screws from inside the adjoining closet should the need arise. Used cardboard for the template to make the wood backing. The fabric is nearly an exact match to the rest of the decor inside the Crusader.

Changes to rv

Couldn't stand the darker window treatments. Ditched them. Made my own. Much brighter. Also made tablecloth & napkins and recovered dining chairs. Much happier. Not sure I got the "upload pic" thing right - should be 3

We have a Rockwood 2304KS. I've added a folding headboard to fill in the gap behind the Murphy bed, a pull up shelf to fill the gap behind the folding couch in front of the Murphy bed, I've rebuilt the 5 drawers with quality materials and joinery and extended length (4" longer for most, 9" longer for the 2night stands) replaced the sink pullout with an 8" full width drawer and added a 10" deep drawer into the blank space next to the stove top, 2 magazine racks next to the bench seats, a 22" WX30"TX6"D medicine cabinet in place of the tiny one, 3 adjustable shelves in the upper cabinets next to the bed, an additional light in the bathroom above the medicine cabinet, installed a vortex fan into the vent above the bed/couch, shelves above the valences on 3 of the windows (especially useful in the bathroom where there is no place for combs, brushes or kleanex) a catch and knob on the access door to the water heater, a rear view camera, tire minder valve stems and transmitter amplifier, remote control l e d lights above the sink, stove + beneath the upper cabinets next to the bed + above the control panel next to the entry door, a key/wallet/miscellaneous shelf attached to the side of the cabinet below the control panel, with hooks beneath it for the dog leashes and light jackets 4 wardrobe style hooks at the top shelf edge on the bench seat by the door, and I removed that pain in the ass door stay (?) so the door can be fully open, with a T catch to hold it open.
I'm probably missing a few additional items. And I am always looking for more suggestions?

DennyB, I'd love to see photos when you can.
WW
I added a silverware drawer below range. pull out drawers under bed ... a couple of extra shelves in pantry ... drink holders ... and pul out drawers in cabinet beside the fridge ... speaking of woodworking. I typically use what material I have on hand or buy frugally, so my choice of lumber and joinery could be better. Probably sounds silly but I'm tired of the old look and colors ... I'd like to add a padded headboard.
I have posted everything on "What did you do to your XLR Hyperlite today" but can add photos.
