XLR 27 dinette table conversion ???

Has anyone removed the two pole legs and added folding legs to the dinette table?
Original design is a pain to remove if you want an open seating area. Want to add foldable adjustable legs like on outdoor cook or utility table.
That way can move it about in camper and take outside. And be able to raise an lower height.

Any thoughts?

We removed ours and also the booth. Replaced with two recliners. We use tv tables for eating. Usually in the garage. Works nicely for us and the recliners are much more comfortable.

DON'T DO IT!

My trailer is at the dealer right now and FR is buying me standard legs like you have because the folding base is JUNK. The table wobbles horrendously, wife and I have to sit opposite each other and keep equal weight on both sides of the table or drinks will go everywhere.

The folding base is a great idea, unfortunately the execution is awful.

Thanks for the comments, I saw somewhere on this site a photo of the conversion to recliners. Maybe yours?
Very nice just not sure want to go that route yet.

Definitely don't want a wobbly table. Was thinking of using legs like attached photo. So height can be adjusted to.

Right now negative degrees out ( New England ) if I come up with something will post. If nothing less will make standard legs easier to remove for open couch seating.

You might want to look at a slider option for your table - most truck campers have a slider under the table - which allows - if you turn table 180 and slide it out it's it give the people sitting along wall lots more room and easier access by sliding table out a foot or so into isle -- just a thought

Interesting!
Will look into. May be able to use existing round legs add plate on top of legs under table for pullout and swivel.

Anyone with this camper model knows how tough to slide in to rear seats and sit. Kids only.

The pullout swivel may not make it removable but may add far more access.

Thanks for all the idea's Now if spring would come!

New Dinette Table

We had the same problem with a cheap dinette set and finally had everything removed and custom table installed. Have more storage now and good setting for 2 or 3. Wasn't cheap, but it won't fall apart after the first season of use!

I had it on my lance camper and it made it much easier for everybody to get to back row including adults when slid out
