Consider the party deck option.... at first we thought we would never use it but after several adventures wow.

Of the three, my preference would be the 420. Floorplan choice is subjective and only you know what fits you best though.

When I was looking, the 415 was on my short list. Although I didn't see one in person, it appeared that the fridge was the only one accessible without opening a slide. This is one thing I look for.

Looks like no complaints on them.I know everything has a issue .
After so many issues fixing mine right I was iffy on another FR.
Hopefully I can see some at the rv show.
Wife Definitely would want the hot tub .Me no .I would be the one doing all the dam work lol
Thanks

All new rigs will have issues so the ones I had with mine aren't necessarily the ones you would have with yours. Once you get them shaken out, you'll be good to go though no matter the floorplan. We are very happy with XLR and their support after the sale... I wouldn't shop elsewhere based on my experience...

Check out the 401 also. I saw them on the Camping World website in Missouri. I like the living room (on a diagram).
Why the 401 is not on the FR website seems almost silly. They can get a floorplan built and shipped to Mo. before they can put it on the website. Hmmm.

We love our 415-been full-timing in it for a year with no issues. Had the second AC moved from BR back into garage and wish I'd made that one a heat pump right from factory. That's 'cause we use garage as our computer room and there are no heating ducts in the garage. Have the party deck with the ?seasons door option. Added thermal drapes to inside of this door - cuts down radiational cooling through the door at night and enhances privacy. (Window tinting allows vision in at night). Deleted rear dinette and Happy Jack bed (to use room for computer workstations) as well as factory seating in LR (moved recliners from our house into LR slide). Deleted factory mattress and put in a sleep-number instead.
This rig is great.

I have been shopping for a while, and my choice would be the 415, we liked the 420 with the party deck, but you lose so much space not having the opposing slides.

I read it was to give you more space up top. I know. It does look weird but that wouldn't keep me from buying it.
We tried really hard to buy a 40D12 at Camper's INN in Kings Mountain, NC. But they wouldn't go below the price of a comparable XLR. I told them that and they understood my refusing to buy. No worries.

The 401 was eliminated from the line up last year

OK. That would make sense. CW shows the 401s they have as 2016 models.

Speaking of that, I have been meaning to ask you. If I ordered a new 420 anytime soon, when is a good guess they switch over from 2016 to 2017?

It's likely they already have.
