So here's my story. In 2006 we bought a 2-up quad. It wouldn't fit in the back of our 3/4 Ton short box crew cab so we bought a long bed truck. Problem solved. Then we bought a 32' trailer so we could spend the winters south. We had a good time but where do 2 dogs ride on a quad with 2 people on it? So we bought a side by side, but where to put it? Bought a larger truck to handle the additional weight and the quad fits in the back but no room for anything else and our trailer has limited storage space. Decided we need more trailer space and it needed to be a toy hauler to carry the side by side to avoid the hassle of carrying the side X side in the truck box. Ordered a Thunderbolt 386X12 (one of very few RVs that you can look at the TV straight on) Dealer said "you will be able to pull it no problem" Weighed my truck on a scale with the wife and dogs and realized I would be about 900 pounds over on cargo capacity and at least 2000 over on towing. I have ordered a new truck. (Ram 3500 dual wheel, diesel). Moral of the story, if you are thinking about buying a quad, forget it!

Now that was a funny story! Congrats on the TH and new Ram!

We were in the same situation. We bought a new cruiser rv toy hauler last year. We could get two ATVs in the back and one in the back of my F150. After several trips to WV we decided it was too much weight for the F150 and bought a GMC 2500HD. This spring my daughter is big enough and wants to carry her ATV so we ordered a xlr 300x14 so all the ATVs can fit in the back. Poor planing on our part but we are really happy with the XLR.

Yep we all have to slowly buy our toys. Maybe next year.

We also have a 386*12. LOVE IT.

Also happen to get a chance to go in Jeff's 300*14. Nice unit oh and family also

Hi All
We ordered the 386X12 without actually seeing one but we got a chance to look at a 2013 at a dealer when we traveled to Vancouver last weekend. We were quite pleased with it but found the bedroom a little dark. We are trying to find out if we can get a couple of small windows added at the factory. Anybody have any comments about this?

I have a 2012 that has three windows in the bedroom on the front side and love it. The only drawback to them is that they are another place to gain or loose heat. When I get a chance to i will take a picture for ya. Congratulations on the new camper

A picture would be great. I was thinking of getting windows put in on the wall next to the night stands. The factory can't seem to get their head around it.

Well it is saying that the application is crashing. But sometimes it still post pictures. Notice tbst the two side windows do not open. If you need more let me know

I wish I could add another window to the bedroom, but our floorplan won't accommodate it. I did have them modify the door, and add a window!
