Towing with f150

Looking at the t24fqmx, looking at the specs looks like it'll tow just fine with my 2013 f150 all tow options available with 6.2l engine! Opinions appreciated!

Can it do it??? Probably...
If it was me would I do it? No. I like knowing that my family is safer with our 1 Ton hauling out toy hauler that's loaded.

You're going to be very close to or over your weights... Found the specs for the 2013 f150 online. Unless you have the supercab 4x2 with 3.73 gears you will be overweight if the trailer is at GVWR.
Not to mention the increased tongue weight with a toyhauler.
With a good weight distribution hitch with sway control you could consider it.
But with that much weight behind you and the tongue weight of a toyhauler I would be looking at a smaller trailer or getting a 3/4-1 ton.

You're the one that ultimately makes the choice though.

Just my .02

Towing with f150

Thx! By the way I have a supercrew truck. Rated at 11,300 towing and 1,120 tongue weight.

I have ZERO intentions of loading it to the max either.

Everyone says this, but it is very easy to overload. The dry weight does not take into account. propane, water, batteries or WDH. In addition all those little convenience things you bring alone add up quickly.

Looked at the chart wrong. Sorry.

But still... Just because it's rated to do it should you? The above post brings up a very good point also. How big is your family?

I'm not trying to talk you out of it but I personally don't like the idea of using a 1/2 ton to tow a toyhauler of this size/weight.

It's not whether you can pull it. It's whether you can stop it.

you should be well with in your specs . Slowing down shouldn't be a problem either full disc brakes on the tv and brakes on the tv should be fine .

The t24fqmx looks very similar to my WA2313 (Stealth) in size and weight. I have the Ecoboost not the 6.2, but I absolutely have been impressed with its ability. My trailer weighs about 7800 when loaded for camping with about 1000 of that on the tongue. My cargo capacity is #1765 so when fully loaded for camping I am under tongue capacity, right at my axle capacity, and 100-200 under GVWR.

The truck has plenty of power going up the hills, and the issue regarding stopping is silly In tow/haul mode I can use the engine to keep speed in control, I seldom even touch the brakes on declines.

I am a former diesel loyalist, but this truck changed my mind. The only sacrifice has been cargo capacity, but with the toy hauler I can just put the excess weight in the trailer, not the bed of the truck.

I am looking at this same trailer with a similar Ford 2012 F150 with the EcoBoost engine. From talking with Ford about my specific truck (provided them with my VIN) I was told I could pull up to 8200 lbs. Truck weighs about 6200, load call it 7200 and the gross carry weight rating GCWR is 15400. A subtraction you get 8200. The trailer weighs a bit over 6000 (if you take out the generator which I plan to do). So with the 1100 lb RZR S 800 and some water I'll be at the limit.
