trailer brakes

my trailer brakes went out, I had the truck tested and it has good output. is there anything obvious to check first

When you say truck has good output are you testing at 7 way plug? Could be a bad connection at the 7 way plug or a ground wire at the trailer brakes.

Could be bad magnets or wire connections.
Might be due to blown inner seals that have greased the brakes.
