2014 Stealth Water Tank Gauge issue

Hello there,

Fresh water tank sensors are not working and do not show a water level. Has anyone repaired a sensor on a Stealth? Is it easy to do?

Cheers!

Not easy if you have the Arctic Package which is a shrouded belly pan.

If your water in the area that you put in the fresh water tanks is
of poor quality you could have calcium deposits on the side walls where the sensors are attached.

You could try Calgon water softener and a lot of driving and flushing. Not sure this would work. If it were the Black water tank 20# of Ice and a lot of driving around corners would work. Sensors on the Stealth and Shockwave with the Arctic Package are hard to work on.

Hi Jack, you are correct!

The sensors are accessible on the drivers side and from under the trailer. In order to access the area the rivets that hold the coroplast sheets need to be chiselled (sheared) off.

After accessing the area, self-tapping screws and washers are required to re-install the coroplast sheets back to frame.

Not an easily accessible item.

[SIZE="4If it were me I would put 4 cups of liquid Calgon water softener and about ten gallons of water in the fresh water tank and drive it around as many curves as you can find as fast as you feel comfortable with.

Repeat this several times and drain the tank several times. I had the same problem and repeated this several times. Unless you are filling and draining often i.e. sitting a lot this will happen especially if the water is very hard. It will leave calcium and mineral deposits on the side of the tank.

The exception to this would be if non of the sensors ever worked from the day you bought it.

I have been to the Hemet factory and the sensors are installed very well and would not think it would be a sensor unless it never worked. I think you have a film of calcium and minerals that are affecting the sensors.

This worked - filled tank w water and a little bleach for a day.

Drained several times to get the bleach out and then filled up tank “full” to make sure sensor contacts were submerged for a few days while in storage.

After a weekend trip the motion must have removed any possible corrosion of the sensors.
