Battery cutoff and solar

Does the red battery cut off switch prevent solar trickle charging when in off position? Thanks!

In most applications, no. That''s generally between your batteries and house 12v power. Just check the leads from your solar controller with a multimeter to confirm. It's not a bad idea to add an additional cutoff between your solar controller and batteries as well.

No, the solar wires from the controller are directly hooked up to your batteries.

How about when you are hooked to shore power does the battery disconnect have to be on to charge the batteries?

I have a cover over my trailer, so I'm not getting any solar power.

You can check your battery percentage on the go power controller to see if your voltage is there when the main switch is turned of but you are plugged into shore power

Yes. The disconnect must be "on" in order to charge using shore power.
