How well does your furnace work

On the trailer platform - how well does your furnace heat your toyhauler 30- 50degrees and what model do you have - I'm looking to replace mine to a bigger size in my Hyperlight because it's only a 19BTU and was wonderful how well the 30BTU heats in your toyhauler and what model it is

Mine heats up the trailer very well. Especially in the bathroom. Lol. I have the 30k btu. This eats up a lot of propane though.

Ours does very well too. +1 on the bathroom comment from above. Our bedroom can cook us out too if we don't watch it.

Overall though it's a great system.

I think mine is 30btu and does very well down to 20 degrees, but uses a lot of fuel.

I dont know if ours is a 30k or 40k but it sucks . The floor directly in front of it gets so hot you cant leave your hand against it. Almost no heat to the br, lots of heat bck to the garage where we dont need or even want it. The whole trailer is a joke.

We have a couple upright electric space heaters that we got from Wally World to supplement the heating. Propane disappears too quickly.

Agreed, it uses up a lot of propane dry camping. If the propane levels get too low in the middle of the night, it will set off my propane/carbon monoxide dedector. Not fun getting woken up out of a deep sleep.

Do you all have 2 30lb propane tAnks or 20Lb?

We have 2 20's because of my disability. Niether N or I could load a 30# tank ,just to heavy and too much reaching out.The trailer is made for 2 30# though. I was winterizeing yesterday, it was 36 deg outside. The furnace ran continously for 4 hrs and the inside temp was only62 deg.I had it set on 70,but I dont think it would have ever made it.

WE have a 30,000 & it heats just fine. We always use ceramic electric to supplement & save on propane. A lot depends on the unit and size & insulation. Ours has no heat vents in the garage area but it does have a large sliding door between the living space & the garage.

we have 1 heat vent in the garage. If we keep the trailer I'm going to close it off. I already stuffed a towel in the ac register,that made a huge difference in the lq area.

I have to agree with PolarisGuy, the furnace on the 2016 (cant vouch for any other years, I dont have one) WA2916 is great. It only has to run for a short period of time the trailer is toasty. It is far more effective as a furnace at heating the coach when its cold out than the A/C is (mine is 13.5k BTU) at cooling it when it's hot out. But the A/C seems Ok too.
