Ramp door locks

Has anyone seen excessive wear on their ramp door locks?

Inside I see light coming from the outside in the top corners, gasket looks fine...

Although not as bad, I have that also. The door obviously moving when driving. I also am wondering if anything can be done other than when it has to be replaced.

i was thinking of replacing the 2 handles and riveting a plastic "wear" piece between the aluminum handle and steel lock

Don't get me started on those handle, and the light leaks.

Ok, too late. I had my dealer make repeated attempts to fix the light leak in the top corner of my door when I first purchased my 2014 SS1913. One of their methods was to bend the arms/latches so they put more pressure on the door, to try to hold it tighter against the frame. That didn't work, but it caused a lot of wear on the arms, and made the opening and closing of the latches much more difficult.

I dont see any way around the ramp door flexing, seems like the trailer itself just flexes.

Does anyone see an issue with adding a gasket to the trailer frame?
So there will be the original gasket on the ramp door, and an additional one on the frame, 2 gaskets touching ?

You're right about the flexing - I get more/less/no light leaking through depending on how I parked. When the axles are loaded up (parked in a turn) or the trailer isn't really level, it's much worse.

I have considered the gasket, but looked at how often the door frame is used as a grab point for people coming in/going out and wondered how quickly a gasket there would tear. On the other hand, it would probably work fine and keep more dust out as well.
