My thoughts are that if I can just close perhaps a couple louvers in my bedroom, then I can probably equalize the temp as it wont get quite as much up front, and a little more in the rear (where the thermostat is) and it will be ideal. Of course never close them off too much overall.

The new registers do help to push a little more of the air downstairs. I wish they'd had them in black, but here's the part I ordered from camping world: Replacement Floor Register with Damper, 4" - Beige - RV Designer H810 - Interior Hardware - Camping World
