I'm in SoCal also and I haven't heard of the lake or campsite before. Where is it?

I wish it was in socal, it in norcal near Fresno. Nice place to camp. Where do you camp locally. Thinking of taking a quick weekend trip before kid goes back to school.

If you go there you can pick site. I recommend site number 40,42,44 are good and close to new bathrooms. Some other spots tight to get too.

Thanks for replying. I like Santee Lakes, you can fish and they have a pool and water play area for the kids. When possible Bosa Chica Beach, but you need to get reservations way in advance. I like to fish so I'm always looking for a place to camp and fish. For us a super quick away would be Canyon RV park used to be known as Featherly. I live right by the 605 and 91 interchange.

When the boy was young Campland by the Bay..it's a BUSY place but you can watch the fireworks each night and even fish a little in the envening when things so down.

How about you all?

Ocotillo OHV area. I don't know why, it just kills me to pay for a campsite. I love boondocking it with no neighbors. We've been able to get out pretty often.

How about you, where else do you like to go?

Depends if we take out the quads. Ive been out Octillio Well, Glamis, Johnson Valley, El Mirage, Hungry Valley. If it just a camping trip, We been to Shaver Lake, Parker.... I really wanna go to Pismo ( Oceano Dunes) but dont wanna get stuck on the beach. I dont have a 4x4 drive.
