I agree. Down here in So Cal we see solar on a high % of the homes and RVs as well and they do not need covers. But that said, you are in a harsh climate and if it will sit for the whole winter, I would sure have it covered with a high quality RV cover and IF you get hard wet freeze, I think I would be tempted to lay a plywood over the glass. The plywood precaution is mostly because I live in a place that never freezes and can't even imagine how much damage a little water can do when it gets in a crack or crevasse and then expands from freezing. good luck We love our New SandStorm with the same 200 watts on the roof.
