Our unit was shipped in the cold part of the year,so our (PDI) was done with (air) in the F/W lines. Thus no liquid for drainage check. Also no liquid in the F/W tank or the F/W pump, which both had to be replaced before ever using the unit the first time. So I understand how it could be missed by the dealer & factory. Youroo!!

as of today the dealer has informed both myself and Forest river that not only my ridgeview but at least one other is defective to the point of not being repairable and recommends that they but it back or find me another RV. Any bets on what type of response I will get?

I cannot blame the dealer, they really tried to make it right but they cannot change design flaw, the slide supports for the main slide are up near the front and only spaced about 3' apart, that leaves the last 6+' of slide unsupported, and that happens to be the heaviest part of the slide with the kitchen. the way it is the unsupported end droops about 1 1/2" making doing the dishes fun as the water pools to the back of the sink. the rest of the items were just missed before sending it out for sale. Forest River is under no obligation to return it to the factory, I believe the warranty states the customer would have to return it, to their credit they are doing what is right and are trying their best not to ruin our trip at the end of Oct. I hope all works out.

left for the factory at 0900 hrs today, will let everyone know the outcome, they seem sincere in their effort to repair this unit.

this is just too sad to be real, on the way back to the Factory the transport company told me the transmission went out, now it has to be towed somewhere in Alabama

for those who may care, my Ridgeview is all repaired and than some and is on its way home! for all that say the customer service does not work, I say you must be doing something wrong. I have not seen the repairs yet but have been assured by M.Burns and D. Evans at Forest river that all of my issues were taken care of and personally inspected.

got the RV back yesterday, all seems to be right with the world, they fixed my slide issue, replaced floor, flooring, carpets, replaced all the moldings, reinstalled the shower, relocated a few things and replaced my dented refrig. doors. They also want me to keep them informed about how things are holding up. Seems to me they really do care about their products.

From the first post to today - looks like it did a 180 - looks like they did take care of your issues and hopefully the issues wont come back any time soon.

Glad to hear it cause most dont post back that the factory took care of their issues even after the factory did make it right.
