1st Trip a Success!

We just returned from our first adventure or what I refer to as the trial run in the 318BHS (since we didn't take our little master camper with us and it was only for the weekend).

Everything went great, everything worked (even the keypad this time). My only complaints - the drawer under the sofa is broken. Seems like the drawer is just to short to fit the length of the sofa. We tried putting spacers to make the tracks closer but the damage was already done (I am suspecting before we picked it up since I tried to pull the drawer out that day and it would not budge, thought I was just being wimpy and afraid of breaking something) ball bearings are now falling out of the tracks. ? Should I call the dealer (3 1/2 hours away) or just contact Prime Time?

Second complaint - the bed - wholly crap it was like sleeping on a piece of plywood - I ended up on the broken sofa -lol. That has got to be worked out before the longer trips.

Third - zero counter space in the bathroom. Maybe a counter top extension would be handy for getting ready in the a.m.

I loved the outdoor kitchen. Considering I was cooking for 15 + people all weekend. We didn't use the cook-stove or grill (we prefer the roadtrip grill) but the fridge, sink and storage was nice. Especially when making coffee in the a.m. We had a line waiting, it was like a pack of hungry wolves stalking its prey out there. However, the door on the fridge opens the wrong way, next project - see if it can be flipped around.

Sorry no pics this time, as you can tell I was a little busy keeping the wolves happy.

All and all a good trip and very happy with the camper!

Our fifth came with the memory foam mattress, but you can buy them at costco or other places that call them a bed in a box. They are so comfortable that after we got the one in the trailer we bought one for our house.

In the bathroom I made a small shelf out of cherry wood that I stained and finished to match the cabinet. I mounted it above the bowl about midway to the medicine cabinet. It provides enough of space to put my wifes hair care products and blow dryer on. Sorry I don't have any pics but if you are interested I can get some.

Great to hear the first trip went well. Too bad about the drawer under the couch but I know PT will take care of you. As far as the other things, well that's what the first few trips are for.
Finding out what mods to do first!

Good luck and happy camping!

I would love to see pics so if you do get some I would be very interested in checking it out.

I have no idea what type of mattress or bed your trailer came with but mine was the pits. Adding 4 in of memory form helped but not enough not to feel the plywood. I brought a "Mattress in a box" from Wal-Mart (without memory form topper) that is working out well. I tried adding the memory form topper for extra comfort but the bed was too tall to climb in. Even without the topper I really like my new mattress, unlike that puppy pad that came with the trailer. I gave the original mattress to my sister for her dog.

I would also like to see pics of the shelf mod.

I was thinking about the memory foam mattress but will check into the "Bed in a Box" also. Anything will be an improvement.

Already excited about the next trip this month.

Sent Prime Time and email this a.m. about the drawer issue. Brandon just called this afternoon and is sending new glides out today. Talk about service. One of the main reason we chose Prime Time was their great customer service. I am not disappointed.

Thank you Prime Time!
