2012 Crusader 290rlt

Looking at buying a clean used one, just wondering if anyone owns one and have some pros or cons for me, I know they did not include Auto Leveling until 2013 but want something nice and cheap so I have to make a sacrifice, just wondering if there are any issues I should be aware of?

We have a 2012 and love it. Problems we have had are limited to the slides. We have replaced the motors for the bedroom slide twice, once on warranty. The two living room slides were rubbing on the floor and the Dacron underneath was warning. Had these corrected at Goshen. FR installed what they call skis on the bottom of the slides and adjusted the slides to eliminate the problem. You need to watch the chairs moving around when travelling, we forgot to check once and the chair at the back moved and when we put the dining room slide out it caught the chair. Ripped off the trim around the slide. Have since removed the couch and put the chairs there. I built two benches to go at the back, adding additional storage.

Awesome thanks, wonder why motors went also why didn't FR put skis on sooner? I heard about the slides tearing the bottom. Is it stable enough with front Power legs down and those Xcross stabilizer jacks? I was hoping for a 2013-2014 with Auto Leveling but ppl want way too much $ for those. I am convinced the Crusader 290, 295, 315 is the way I want to go instead of waiting for a used Keystone Montana High Country 305rl.

I added JT Strong arms and I use x-chocks, very stable now. I think the motor problem is related to the quality of some components, plus the alignment.

Ah, I have X-Chocks not a big fan of the way the Strongarms look but let's see which model we wind up getting, just like the crusaders over most other 5th wheels
