2014 325res and MORryde pinbox

I am thinking of adding a MORryde pinbox to my 325res. Anyone have experience with doing this and if so was it worth it?

Most aftermarket pinboxes are an improvement in ride quality for the t.v. and coach frame. It's hard for me to tell you what is the best pinbox when there are too many variables of weight, length, t.v. manufacturer, and cost of pinbox. I like the improvement of my TrailAire pinbox.

I have a Morryde pin box on my 2013 Sabre 5th wheel. But I ordered it, when I ordered my 5er. So I never pulled with the original factory installed pin box. My 5er has a dry weight of 10,700lbs and when loaded up with all our gear it's about 13,000lbs. And I tow with a 2011 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax deisel, with Allison transmission. And it rides very well.

Been in the market myself and cannot figure out which way to go...Mor Ryde...Flex Air...Roto Flex...ect...There is no magic wand but I wish there was...I have been looking at the Flex Air but worry if that is going to be major overkill for what I need. Then again if I get the Mor Ryde I am worried that it might not be enough...and it is not like these things are easy to return...

I have a standard 1621 pin box. I have been tracking the price of the flex air because it seems like the latest and greatest do all solution. (Until I buy it and something else comes out lol) (Amazon - $1189ish - free prime 2 day shipping, CW $1099 - $100 shipping, Etrailer $1089 - free shipping) I am most likely going to buy this one and hopefully be able to transfer it to a new 5'er in the future if that happens. But for now as long as it does it's job I will be happy and thin the money is worth it. BTW I completely understand that nothing will solve a chucking type problem, I am just looking to reduce it...I am the only driver so the better the ride...the more miles...the happier I am...

Trailer weighs about 15,000 pounds. I'm using the standard trailair pinbox that is the correct replacement for trailer's pinbox. I don't remember the exact number of the pin box. The pin box is not the Tri Glide pinbox. We have a short bed truck and use a Pullrite super glide sliding hitch.

Hey Justice, try Ultra Fab TrailAir Air Ride 5th Wheel King Pin Box Lippert 1621 2.., this is where I found the best price on a trailair. Although I never did order one, I looked at them for a long time before I sold the 5er. Looks like you can save a couple hundred.

I upgraded mine to a Mor Ryde last year from a Trail Air Rota Flex pin box, it was the best move I ever did on mine. I also had a chance last weekend to drive my friends camper home to him in Canada and he has the new Trail Air Flex Air pin box and my wife was terrified that every time you accelerated or braked it would clunk, it made her on edge. I will stick with my Mor Ryde.

I'm with you Sye, while I never had experience with any of the pinboxes, I just wasn't sure that the rotoflex was going to do what I wanted. I heard the clunking issues from others as well. I was looking for the cushion between the 5er and the truck.

AQUAMAN...thanks for the site. I checked it out and it looks like a good place to compare to.

SYE...It made a clunking noise? That sounds interesting. I wouldn't want to hear that every time over a long trip. It sounds like mist have been really happy with the Mor Ryde.

The clunking may have more to do with the brake controller adjustment. My hitch clunks because of the brake controller adjustment and the excess clearance, 1/8 in. at the pin lock.

It was like the pin was too small for the hitch, bot that wasn't it. There is a little tire, byt apparently when the dropped off the trailer the day before, the tire went flat so there was not nay absorption in the motion so it would clunk.

By the way, I have my Rota Flex in the garage if someone wants to buy it, but the shipping on it would be very expensive I checked last year and it was almost 200 bucks to ship it.

The shipping part is what makes these things such a pain...I you hate the one you get it seems like it becomes a bookend. I am thinking of buying from Amazon because returns with them are fairly easy. Honestly hoping I make the right decision so I don't have to deal with it.

Indeed. If you live close enough to elkhart indiana, it would be worth your while to drive there and buy it to save on shipping. It was only a 3 hour drive for me. Plus Amazon has free shipping on them I believe!!

Wouldn't an air ride or air cushioned hitch produce than same desirable results? Then a person could already have a hitch in place for the future RV upgrade, in most cases. They only drawback that I have been able to find with Such a hitch is the initial cost. The hitches due all appear to be heavier, but the ones I'm looking at come apart for easy removal.
I am seriously considering a TrailerSaver BD1.

Something like the Hensley BD3, initial cost is around 3500
