2016 Crusaders

Went to look at them and I am not fond of exterior color and interior trim. Also why did they get rid of the slam latch where the generator goes under the 5th wheel hitch?

Seems they got really cheap in their MFG process? I looked at. 2014 seems to have been made a lot more solid.

Looked at 2016 294&295's not the cheap Ultra Lite Crusaders

We purchased a 2016 Crusader and love it. The couch seems defective because it rips the material underneath the cushions. We put a strip of non skid stuff used in cabinets under the cushions and that resolved that problem. Other Crusader owners posted the same problem. Apparently Prime Time use to install Lane furniture but changed in 2016. I took to dealer and are waiting to hear back from manufacture to see what can be done about the couch.

Sometimes I winder why they switch when they had furniture that worked and looked good. I am going to get a used one in 2017, need to get another season or two out of my Roo, but have looked at a ton of 5th wheels and I am set in the 2013-2015 Crusader 295 or 290 but Peter to have auto leveling on it, do the 2016's all have auto leveling?
Mood luck with yours and getting your issues corrected

We have a 2015 Crusader 315RST and the thing we like the least is the furniture. It is Lane and we think it is very uncomfortable. We have every intention of changing both the theatre seating and the sofa sleeper.

We have a 14 crusader 315 with lane furniture. I would say the exact opposite, we love the furniture. Very comfortable!

The 2015 has auto leveling I don't know about any older. What we liked with our 2016 over 2015 was that the kitchen sink in 2016 is stainless steel versus plastic in 2015. The vent with fan in the kitchen area was electric versus manual in the 2015. You would need a step stool to open and turn the fan on/off. The 2016 has a black tank flush system and the 2015 did not. The 2016 has the extreme arctic package and the 2015 does not. We don't plan any cold weather camping but felt the extra insulation would help keeping the coach cooler in warm climate.

Maybe I'll be able to sell the Lane furniture after we replace it.

Ours is a 2014 and we have auto leveling and a black tank flusher. I find it odd that you didn't have a black tank flusher on your 2015.

Ours is a 2014 295RST with black tank flush, auto leveling and very comfortable Lane furniture which surprised us.
Not leather but that seems to be the accepted norm in the US.
Mustn't be enough cows over there.
The vinyl is reasonably durable though.

Our 2014 has a black tank flusher as well.

We had an issue with our Lane theatre seating and we had it replaced in Indiana. I just LOVE the lane furniture. So amazingly comfortable.

The auto level is so worth it.

I do wish the sink was stainless for sure.

Part of my problem with the Lane furniture is the theatre seating. Could you tell me what prompted Prime Time to replace it?

The seat portion of one of the seats buckled. It was an odd situation, it was like in a really old couch that used springs; one of them broke. It made the seat unusable. Our rig was taken back to the factory to have some issues dealt with and while it was there they initially tried to repair it, but after that was done it was still unacceptable. PT then agreed to swap it out. Zero issues since.

My 2013 290 rot has the black tank flusher, but I wish it had auto Level! Not worth spending for the upgrade!

Thank you for the explanation. I've got a problem with the release on one of the seats which allow it to recline. It is very hard to pull. The theater seating is so close on one side it does not allow the window shade to be fully closed. From reading the accolades from everyone here I guess I'm the exception with the comfort. When I sit in the seats I feel like my head and neck are unsupported. I guess it could be a height issue on my part.

I know mines not secured down because I've pulled it out. If it's too close you should be able to re-position it.

X2 on repositioning the theater seating. Those and the sleeper couches are heavy enough that they usually don't secure them to the floor. Try pulling it out an inch or two.

Be careful comparing units to each other whether by year or other forum members. Usually the reason there are differences between like models (unless you ordered yours with specific options) is that dealers order theirs with certain options that they feel will help them "get the sale" while others order just the basic model (which is usually what makes their price "look" so much better).

Now, maybe the black tank flush could have been an option that a dealer ordered it with or, it could have been a mid-year production change making it standard equipment. But even on our 2014 Sanibel, the 6 point leveling system, central vac. & slide toppers were options when we ordered it in Sept. 2013. Our Lane leather furniture is very comfy & I can fall asleep in my recliner with no problem. I'm glad we ordered before the production change because DW & I have checked out some newer Sanibels and do not like the new furniture line or the available colors.

I think the theatre recliners were originally screwed down but due to the usual quality (not) workmanship, one end of ours is moveable.

They can be screwed into the flooring or not. Usually the theatre seating has screws and the couch does not. It is very easy to re-position them. When mine was replaced I did not have them screw it down, I waited and once I found a good spot for it I put a couple of small screw in it. With the weight of it; it's not going anywhere. Be careful with the screw length as well you don't want to go through the floor.
