2600 rls

I have a 2010 Tracer 2600 RLS that I have owned since new. Today I noticed that there is a red light that is on in the bathroom. It is located on the control panel for hot water tank. It is between the two switches for electric or gas for the hot water heater. Does anyone know what the red light is for? I can't find anything in the owner's manual that will tell me why it is on...

Are you hooked up to power ? If so, is your valve open to your gas ? Is your water heater operated by both electric and power ?

akdinsj - this light only illuminates when your water heater has tried to fire 3 times unsuccessfully. It's telling you there's a problem. Go to this link and you can see a better explanation at the bottom left hand corner of page 4 under GAS/ELECTRIC COMBINATION FUNCTION

Hope this helps.
