290RLT Changes

As I researched my perfect 5er the closest I came was a Prime Time 290RLT, but there were two items I wished I could have as standard or options. They were a fireplace and recliners.
I understand representatives from Prime Time monitor this forum so below is a picture of the changes I made over the winter. I liked the idea of the air matress sofa bed but in reality it was pretty uncomfortable to sit on and sleep on. My Grandkids would rather unroll their sleeping bags and sleep on the floor or curl up on the LaZBoy Loveseat.

Is that a free standing fireplace between the recliners? The furniture looks great!!

The fire place came from electricfireplaces.com and is freestanding but I removed the small stand that came with the trailer and made a matching cherry wood pedestal with a magazine rack and fastened the fireplace securely to the base and then fastened the base to the floor of the coach. The fireplace is 1500 watts and the other day it was 38 degrees outside and it maintained the temperature inside.

I think its great that you (RV Guy) maintain a presence on this forum. I couldn't be more satisfied with my purchase. Keep up the good work.

I would imagine the back comes off of the sofa. I just showed the pictures to my wife. I think a new sofa might be in our future too..LOL!!

Thanks
There are latches where the backs slide into the base, and when you release these latches you can pull the backs away from the base. Fits easily. If you ever want to do this modification you have to make sure the recliner is what they call a wall hugger ( takes very little space from the back to the wall to accomplish the reclining function).
I'm hoping that if I can get DW this close to me something will happen.

recliner/ lazyboy chairs

These should never be an options on Prime Time 5'vrs or tt's. They should absolutely be STANDARD... slide toppers too. The standard sofa is OK with me.
