290RLT Stabilization Problems

Hi everyone....We are currently in the middle of a camping trip with our 2013 Crusader 290RLT and having problems with the unit rocking and bouncing when walking around. Walking in any part of the RV causes it to bounce and shake.
I have tried a number of things to solve the problem but so far nothing has solved the problem.

The rear stabilizer jacks are down; I have bal x-chocks between both sets of tires; I have regular tire chocks on the ground at each of the 4 tires; I have a tripod installed under the king pin.

I have considered jacks under the slide outs but have been told that probably won't help.

Has anyone who has the 290RLT been able to solve this problem?

I installed the Steady Fast bars on mine and have been living in the 290 for three months while building a house. I haveno issues with bouncing

As indicated above - some kind of triangulation stabilization helps. Not enough for us- I'm looking at some scissor jacks to put near the axles.

Have the same RV 290RLT 2013 and no tripod used 1 month and have no bouncing or other issues of this nature

Ddubya - did you have any trouble with the battery compartment being in the way when you mounted your Steady Fast bars?

DHolder,
I had a similar problem and made a frame out of 2x4s on edge screwed together with deck screws that would fit tight around the batt box. I removed the battery box, set the frame inside and screwed it into place. Then set bottom of battery box into this wood frame and secured. Worked like a charm.

I will look at mine. I remember having that concern but don't remember what I did.

I looked at mine and all I had to do was attach the stabilizer bar toward the front of the landing pad and it cleared the battery tray.

The aftermarket permanently attached stabilizer systems work great. We tried the Tri Pod route, even adding extra rear arm jacks. While they helped some, nothing worked until we put on our stabilizers. 7 years later, I would never be without them, Hugs, Di
