295rst fireplace

I just picked up a Crusader 295RST with a fireplace. The manual shows how to use a remote , but I did not get one.Should a remote be with the fireplace in the 295RST ? Also the outside shower does not have a shower head. The salesman has told me the shower head is not included with the shower. This seems odd to me.

Prime Time stopped shipping remotes with the fireplace.

There was also no shower head with our 295RST. I installed a standard hose sprayer.

Cost cutting measure?
What good is an outside shower if it doesn't have a shower head?
Never heard of anything so silly.

They supply a coiled hose with a quick disconnect to the faucet. You choose the end you want to put on.

I believe many owners use the "outside shower" for things other than a shower. Mine rinses my black tank, cleans sea shells and helps wash my trailer. My best add so far is a valterra quick disconnect on the city water inlet. Might do one for the black flush as well. A shower head would not be useful but the coiled hose is. The fireplace remote is not included because they were interfering with the tv and stereo.

Was wondering why I did not have a remote for the fireplace, Jenson bedroom radio and no shower head for the outside shower. All still seams odd but now I know I'm not alone ;-)

I attached a garden spray hose attachment. would never use it as a shower. I vote we rename the feature!

Included with my Surveyor 5W purchased in April, it came with a fireplace remote and a coiled hose with a spray nozzle for the outside shower. Looks like FR does not standardize these things across product lines. Are you sure your dealer doesn't have them? Just saying

We get the coiled hose, just no sprayer/shower head.

Fireplace remote doesn't matter to us, but I am going to get a remote for the bedroom stereo.

I use the suggestion from irishrv - I use the coiled hose to flush the black tank

Using the hose to engage the BW flusher at the site before leaving is fantastic. In my case I usually like to have about 1/3 of a tank or so of FW in the rig at all times, so if the FW tank has more in than I would like I'll use the flusher, why not, it was going to go into the BW tank anyway. Overall the universal docking station is fantastic!!!

Looking at the fireplace in the crusader 295 rest te, has anyone thought of trim for around the fireplace? I hate looking at screws and the gap above the fireplace. A mod for me soon. Was wondering if anyone trimmed it out and what was used to match the wood.

I contacted FMI the mfg of our fireplace and they sent me one. Found out later that PT didn't purchase the remotes for the fireplaces. I've gotten great support from FMI

I called FMI Customer Service and they told me I'd have to contact a distributor for a fireplace remote. Did you contact Customer Service or a different department at FMI?

They shipped it at no cost. Said it should have been included, but like I said, I found out later that Prime Time didn't purchase the option although the fireplace is modified for it. The only thing I don't like about the remote is that it won't turn the unit on, just adjust the flame, fan and temp after it is on.

I know this is an old post but has anyone added trim around their fireplace? I'd like to but need ideas since it doesn't look like it's available from the maker.

I had no trim on my fireplace either on my 295rst and never noticed it upon PDI and when I brought it back 3 weeks later for various ailments, my dealer installed the trim without question.
