3200bht ?

Has anyone seen or does anyone own the new 3200BHT? Impressions? Thoughts? Recommendations? The floor plan looks nice, but I have not found one yet nor talked to anyone who owns one.
thanks

We viewed one at our local dealer this past sunday. The awning is only 12ft and very far foward on the unit other then that it seemed nice. We also require a hide a bed in the kitchen/living are and only a jackknife was available.

The 12ft awning was the downfall of the unit but it has alot of potential. We eat under our awning most days, due to the location of the awning we would need to eat very close to the front of the trailer and would be very close to most the roads in the campground at that point with an almost 36' unit.

When they change the tracer to the taller height the new Lacrosse is switching over to they will be able to fit a longer awning I beleive.

that appears to be the exact same floorplan as our Coachmen 320BHDS:
Freedom Express - Coachmen RV

We love our Coachman. We have a 20ft awning, the couch is the new three piece foam bed:
The Destination Tri-Fold Sleeper

Which is actually very comfortable.

Let me know what other questions you have, these units look very similar.

Does the 3200BHDS offer a full size outdoor kitchen? Appears to only have the small "camp" kitchen option.

I assumed by the side view pic that it only had the mini camp kitchen.

That becomes a very nice unit. Did you find good prices online that you used to beat up your local dealer?

we bought it last fall, and yes we shopped around. We found a dealer in MI that was a little cheaper, but the cost of diesel made it a wash to go pick it up. Dealer we bought from is actually about 6.5 hours away, but I travel past for work every few months. He was about 5K below closest dealer here in KC. Has been back for warranty service (which they handled very well) and it coincided with a work trip.

We just purchased/traded in our old Outback for this model. 2013 3200BHT.
The layout inside couldn't be better... but we'll find out when we get it and start camping. We really wanted the outdoor cooking area and what someone was saying about the awning isn't an issue for us as we also use a pop-up sunshade thing.... so, I'll post back soon to give you an update!!

Thanks for all the info and we went to an RV show yesterday and finally saw the 3200BHT. For us, the short awning was a deal breaker as well! We are now seriously considering the Freedom Express 320BHDS but unfortunately there was not one at the show and have not seen one in person, but on line, it appears to be a perfect layout. Currently have an Outback 301BQ...the only thing that I dont necessarily like about the 320BHDS is the extra length...sucker is about 37' long!
How is the build quality of the Freedom Express? At this point, down to considering it or the Rockwood 8212SS or just keeping our Outback.

bdstuart - thanks for the feedback. With a slide-out being on the door side, the length of the awning does get compromised. As an alternative, you might consider the 3150 Tracer as it has a very large awning and similar interior characteristics.

Good luck.
