335BHS Bunk house slid not working

6 weeks and 3 short trips into our new purchase of this 5er and now my BH slide does not work. When I press the rocker switch nothing happens.

About a 2 hour ride back to dealer for warranty work, so I thought I would look at this to see if there is a quick fix (fuse, loose wire, etc).

Help on where to start ? Thanks !

Check the ground wire. Take a piece of wire from the neg side of the battery to the neg side of the switch. If it works (which it did for me) at least you have found the problem.

Finally had a chance to look at this today. I started by checking the fuse - all good. I then went underneath to check the slide motor. The underside of the 335BHS is sealed up with coroplast. 1 large sheet from front to back. Except in 2 places where the MFR or the dealer had cut an access hole (then covered the hole). One of those access holes was exactly where the slide motor is.

I removed the access cover and checked the wiring. I found the black wire was not securely crimped. I removed the factory (or dealer) crimp and re-crimped a new connector.

Having an access hole already cut makes me think the MFR or dealer had problems here before I bought the trailer. Only instead of putting a new crimp on, just re-crimped the original.

that hole is intentional, so you can get the slide in if there is a motor failure. That's what my PDI tech told me.

Your PDI tech went under the trailer ?
Mine couldn't locate that area if he tripped and fell.

Anyway, that makes good sense.

X2. There is a "nut" on the end of the motor for you to put a wrench on to turn the motor and bring the slide in (or out) in case of failure (don't ask how I know).
