50 Amp Lacrosse

I was just curious.

We have recenty took delivery of our 2012 Lacrosse 318bhs Touring Edition from Southern RV in Tyler and it has 50 amp service with two AC's. Was this part of the upgrades from Prime Time or did Southern RV order these special, seems like other dealers dont advertise it. Having two AC's is a huge deal after the summer we had in Texas so I am glad to have them.

No idea, but boy do I like that!

Pictures please...

Anyone have any idea how hard this would be to retrofit?

Thanks!
John

must be something new or experiment between a few dealers and PT....it is not listed as potential options on their website. Sounds like a good idea. I know a number of us have learned not to run the AC, water heater, and microwave simultaneously.....

The 50 amp sold me. If this is a trial run I hope they continue it, I guess I will count myself lucky to get one.

My dealer still has a few if anyone is in the the market, my salesman Kyle would appreciate the buisness.

As far as retrofiting the extra AC unit I would say it would be next to impossible. PT did it right. They placed a unit at the front and anouther at the rear. They then ran ducts from each unit down the full length of the trailer, this allows one unit to cool all the space if 50 amp is not available. The only draw back I see is that the AC unit is over the bedrooms both front and rear so they are loud when you are in bed. This seems like it might be a problem, but for some reason it doesnt bother my wife and I, we actually like the background noise, weird.

We were in the market to replace our 10 year old trailer for 2 years and this trailer exceeds our expectations by a long shot.
