5th wheel tire air pressure

My tires have stamped max psi 80 on the sidewall. How much air pressure are you'al maintaining in your heavy 5th wheel tires? Mine weighs around 15,000# plus.

80. I always pull my trailers with tires set to cold max psi.

I bought 4 new tires in Flagstaff, AZ last month, dealer installed the 80 PSI molded on the sidewall I see no reason to change it.

They are E rated 10 ply Carlisle's.

I hope you have six tires on your 5th wheel. My 5er weighs about 15,500 pounds and I have 4 H rated tires and keep them at 110 PSI.

I upgraded my E rated tired for G614s. The Es are rated for 3000 and Gs are 3750 at 110psi as I recall. My 5er is 15,000# and I just felt better with the extra safety factor.

If you don't mind me asking what did you pay for your G rated tires? I have E's on mine and it makes me nervous

PSI in 5th Wheel Tires

My 5er comes with 4 wheels, G rated with a recommended psi of 110, which I do. (they are nitrogen tires).

Just like your car or truck, the correct inflation pressures for your trailer tires is found on the tire placard/certification label.

I just put on 4 Michelin LT 235/85/R16 Load Range E on my 15,000 fifth wheel and pulled it around from TX-OK-KS-MO-IA-IL-IN-OH-KY-TN-AL-MS-LA and back to TX this summer and had no problems at all. Got them from Discount Tires for just over $800.
