You need to monitor your voltage on your 30amp plug when you start the AC unit. If the voltage is dropping too low then you will trip your breaker on overcurrent. The reason for this is that the motor on your compressor will compensate for the low voltage by drawing more current. This can be caused by too small of cord connecting you RV to the pedestal or the quality of shore power being poor. A 30 amp service needs a minimum of a #10 cord and this is not enough if it is over 25 feet long or so. The larger cord you have, the better. I do not have my 298bhd yet but i plan on having a couple of cords for it, one if which will be a #6 by 50ft.

Thumbs down

16 days now and it's not getting any better no one has been back and no calls the dealer has not answered my voice mails. Not the Black tank is not dumping......the handle does nothing. We're at the park that we manage so we have restrooms to use but you pay this kind of money for these things why can't you get the support you need.

Try contacting Prime Time directly. See if the parts have been ordered. Maybe they can OK another repair shop in your area that will stay on top of things.

Good luck.

Sounds like Prime Time has the same problems as the other Forest River Campers.....Oh well, thought with different manufacturing technologes they might be better. Seems as more and more are purchased (Prime Time)they are showing alot of the same problems as other manufactures. Sorry that your having problems. As was mentioned alot of new campers have these same problems. hang in there !

The one thing that I have confidence in Prime Time over others is their construction. Hopefully their trailers will not have some of the leak issues, including delam. Those problems are not really widespread, but they do seem to happen more often than they should. Only time will tell.
Most of the problems that we are having are on items found in other trailers, water heaters and so forth. So yeah, your right. We're going to have those same problems as everyone else.
The one area Prime Time really seems to out shine all others is their customer service. If you contact them directly, your problem will be dealt with quickly and correctly.

Your are RIGHT-ON with service they provide. (Second to none). I just thought maybe even the little stuff would be better. Been having an eye on one of there 5er models for an up-grade in a year or two. Just dont want them to get like the others when there customer base gets bigger and bigger! I like the fact "RVguy"- the boss, roams the forums. - Beautifull grandson by the way "grhodes50"

Hope your right, did use the contact web site but seems like each day brings on something different, the tanks drained twice since we set up but today nothing on the "Black" gray is ok, but very worrysome.

Hang in there, I had a few problems on my Tracer 3000 BHD, most recent I found my tires hitting the wheel wells. I talked with Brandon York from customer service who sent larger equalizers to my dealer who installed them. Used the trailer on a three day trip and had no problems with the tires!
