Another Crusader 335BHS Trip Report - and a Warning!

Just returned yesterday from another great trip in our Crusader 335BHS - spent a week at Platte River Campground in the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. By far, the best campground we've ever been in!!! We all agreed that we wanted to stay another week, but it's full thru September. We'll definitely be back next year. If you plan on going there, be very careful with the site descriptions - it's an older park, and not all that friendly to bigger rigs.

Word of warning to 335BHS owners - when I got home, I was opening the slides to empty out all the 'stuff'. The super slide (main living area) didn't want to open all the way, couldn't figure out why. Upon closer inspection, the upper cabinet door (facing the TV/fireplace, the top left door) had opened during travel and was hitting the slide preventing it from opening. Fortunately, no real damage but the hinges for the cabinet door are jacked up and will need some 'adjustment'. So - please make sure your upper cabinet doors are closed before opening the slide!

Otherwise, the coach performed great! Got 13MPG towing with a full fresh water tank, lots of gear, and a 'few' beers in the outside fridge. The tank sensors are a little goofy, but we worked around that. I've also decided not to use the auto-level feature any more and just do it manually and go by the bubble levels and display - no more wheels off the ground...

The more we use it, the more we love our 335BHS!

For doors- we use Velcro OneWrap to ensure a lot of our doors stay shut.
