Antenna
I'm currently camping and I'm unable to rotate the tv atenna. Is there a trick to it? Lol
I have a 3200 bht, I pulled the plate down but I can't spin it in either direction.

You have to crank it up first. Then it should rotate.

On ours I need to pull down on the round dial about a 1/4 of an inch before I can turn it.

Try a "dry lube on the rotary joint on the roof.

I just bought a 230FBS and tried to rotate the antenna and mine won't rotate either. It's cranked up and I pull down on the "disk", but it will not rotate. Called dealer and he felt there would be some caulk in a wrong place. Waiting for a nice day, my wife available and me on the roof to see what is wrong as she tries to turn it. In the meantime I'll be watching to see if any solutions show up here.

I went up on the roof and DW tried to turn antenna. won't move. As she held the disk down I was able to rotate the unit when I was on the roof. Actually caulk had "spilled" over against the antenna base when it was poured on the mounting flange to cover the screws, etc. Use a knife to cut it free and remove enough caulk so it does not touch the antenna base. This should have been part of dealer prep.

If the antenna is made by Wineguard, the manufacture suggests using a spray silocone to lubricated the turntable of the antenna base and the gears. To do this spray underneath the cast aluminum plate so that the entire perimeter is lubricated. Then remove the plastic cover that is located on the standing post on the turntable. Give a shot of silicone here as well. Now you will see a black plastic gear if you look down over the top of thea antenna, spray this as well. As Marvin mentioned if there is caulk holding the unit from turning this is an easy fix. I have just bought a Salem Cruise Lite and had to rebuild the antenna due to a bent rotating shaft and leaking due to a forgotten seal at the factory. The factory servce told me how to lubricate the unit and said this has to be done twice a year.

Well I'm back from our first trip and the antenna just wouldn't budge to save my life. I'll go up on the roof later on to see if something could be blocking it

I had the exact same issue on my 2014 Lacrosse 327 RES. I had the dealer fix it when I took the unit back in following my first trip. Basically, for the new unit "punch list". Not sure what was done, but it turns freely now.

Be very careful spraying silicone on the roof. It isn't good for the membrane covering the roof.
