Any other Lacrosse 296 owners?

Just curious about what size spring bars others have. My dealer set me up with a round bar Reese and friction sway control, but I think I'm going to get an Equalizer and not sure whether to get 1000 or 1200lb bars.

I have the 1000 lb bars and do just fine. Although I have to add water to fresh tank to get more tongue weight.

I use 1000 Equalizer bars with my 318bhs and they work great. The 318 has 100 more pounds of hitch weight. You should be fine with the 1000 pounds. Make sure you get the 4 way Equalizer and not the cheaper 2 way. You could also buy the cams and turn your Reese into a dual cam system. You will not be satisfied with a standard Reese with friction sway bars. Especially with a 32-33 ft trailer.

I have the dual cam 1200/12000 and although it's been ok, it hasn't been great. I found an older Hensley I'm cleaning up to use this summer.
