Any owner comments? Briggs & Stratton P3000 Inverter Package with Parallel Cable

Looking for any pro/con comments on this unit. Seems to be reasonably priced and has the wattage I am looking for.

Please provide a link.

Normally B&S are loud.
Even their inverter generators are louder than other brands.

Are you going to use it in a campground or for boondocking?

And why would you go with this generator, when you can get the well-proven and cheaper Champion 3100w inverter generator?
Even the new 3400w version is cheaper.

Should have specified in my post. Boondocking.

I haven't seen that one in my search. Thanks for the lead. I will investigate.

They are talked about constantly on RV forums.

On the other hand, have never seen anyone that had one of the B&S units, on any RV forum.

X2 with Bikendan. I would give a serious look at the Champion line of gens. Tractors Supply sells them for under $300 on the 3500/4000 watt models and just over that for the 4000/4600 models. The ones I have, have worked flawlessly for 4 years now. Five years on one unit.
Keep the oil changed and clean, fresh fuel [not ethanol garbage] and you will have no problems with them for a long time. My oldest unit [3500/4000] has over 1,100 hours on it and still cranks on the first pull, and yes I do have an hr meter on it as do all my gas motors i.e. outboards, lawn tractor, generators, aircraft. I'm anal about maintenance and oil changes.

I will say this for the B&S as far as durability. I picked up the Craftsman 5600 during the Hurricanes here in Florida back in 2004. It ran none stop for four straight days. Since then, well, I sure have neglected it.

I try to start it when I think about it (out of site, out of mind). I can say at one point it went about 2.5 years forgotten about. Starting last year I began to use it more, just to use it with the electric hedge trimmer, pressure washer, air compressor, etc.......this was about once every two or three months.

That thing started every time, maybe not on the first pull, but it started. I just had the carb cleaned last month ( first service it ever had) outside ummm, bi-yearly oil changes, and a replaced pull cord, and now it does start on the first pull. I used it today just to use it.

I do Spring maintaince on my other gas powered engines before mowing season each year, and hopefully will start on the generator too.

Those are tough machines even when neglected, but are loud.....sound like a lawn mower !

Just a point.
The OP is asking about INVERTER generators, not noisy open frame/ contractor generators.

I’ve been using Champion generators now for the last 4 years started out with the 2000W inverter, then went to the 3100W inverter and now I have the 3400W inverter. Not a single issue with any of them just sold off what I did not need then upgraded. Champion has a 3500W inverter that can run off gas or propane “duel fuel” model wish I had gotten that one (may upgrade next year) but it was out of stock and I couldn’t wait. I can run one 15BTU ac all the lights, pump and it’s fine no issues at all.

Well, you guys just squashed B&S. Looks like Cabella's is about the best price so far which is surprising. I used to run our class C 15K BTU AC with all the old incandescent lighting, etc quite nicely from a 4K Onan. Our newfangled LED laden 13.5K BTU AC ought to run quite nicely off of a 3500W and if we need more, get another and bridge them. Thanks to all for all the suggestions and assistance.

Yep... for those that missed the link, here are photos of the B&S INVERTER gennys. I had not see these before but they do look interesting.

I have seen these they are not totally new. Only down side is who wants to carry two of them? Seems like a hassle one 3400/3500W seems like it would work just fine for most RVers.

Many like the convenience of being able to lift two smaller, lighter units rather than one bigger, heavier. Keep in mind, the COMBINED output of two in parallel is usually a bit more than a single unit. The two B&S referenced here are capable of 4800 watts in parallel.

Many also like to be able to run just one unit when power requirements call for the capabilities of just one unit.
