Anyone use Eternabond or dicor on roof sidewalls?

this will be my 3rd summer with my Tracer.. I usually go up on roof twice per year and look at the dicor sealant around vents.. This summer i am considering putting Eternabond around the vents for piece of mind. What im unsure of is what to do on the roof sidewalls? i have never looked here or added dicor here. Is this usually an area of problem or an area to pay attention to? how is the rubber roof attached to the side of the camper? what would I check to make sure all is good? and can I just take a strip of Eternabond and run it along the side edge of roof and onto gutter? Seems logical to me that this would make a permanent seal.. Im just not sure if its already permantly sealed or not on the sidewalls..thank you. 2014 Tracer 2670

I have done the sidewalls on my unit and installed just as you mentioned. Metal on gutter to rubber roof material. Then front edgecap and rear seam as well.

Eternabond or dicor ?

I touched up the dicor around vents , front cap and rear last fall. Hit one spot around the gutter spout as well.
Had thoughts of using Eternabond on the slide roofs and side wall meet.

On my previous Roo I used Eternabond tape around all roof penetrations and along the joints between the end walls and the roof. Easy to apply. The hardest part is cleaning before applying it. I intend to eventually use it on my new-to-me TT as well.

I did not put it along the side edges. I'm not aware of any problems there as the rubber roofing material is overlapping the top of the walls.

I see Dicor has a similar tape product but I don't know anything about it.

Sorry Plato, Eternabond, love the stuff.

And yes, big hunt, fingers crossed. Between them and my adopted city Calgary, been pretty exciting!

i usually just use the eternabond on the end terminations. dicor has the non-sag you can use onthe sides..though I do use the eternabond on the edges if there is damage. but, i pull the molding and put the eternabond edge under the molding and then wrap the edge. then I caulk the edge of the eternabond.

Have used Eternabond previously on a ladder installation on a Winnebago motorhome and also on cracks on my jet ski docks. Great stuff!

Good luck,
Don

I had thoughts about running some Eternabond tape where the roof meets edge piece on the slide roof . (or brown piece) Over the screws to the roof.
Would this be a good idea?
Would like to see some pics of the overlapping roof to gutters with Eternabond if you have them.

sorry, I have no pics. i have seen eternabond used in this area quite often and have used it myself. its the one location I use it without dicor because it works well with seals in this area. no worries of smearing ect... I use it for terminations otherwise because they have so much movement. I, like i said earlier, usually caulk the edges because eventually the edges curl a little. the slide roofs dont see as much sun and seem to take a lot longer to curl.

edit: i really have no idea how long it takes to curl. ive just seen on existing roofs...
