Bathroom Door knob lock

We want to replace our 2012 tracer 3150bhd touring bathroom door knob with one that will lock. Anyone know where we can find hardware to match what is there but with a lock? Is it the same size knob hardware that we would use on a household bathroom door?

Take the old one to Lowe's or Home Depot. You shouldn't have a problem matching one up with one that locks.

Standard home Bathroom knob will work................just make sure the back-set and latch bolt/latch plate are the same.

I am hoping to find one that's close, I like the one PT installed just thought it was strange it didn't lock. We have a nosey 4yr old who likes to open doors on people. Thank you for the help!

As already mentioned, go to Lowes/Home Depot and get a locking passage set for the same thickness door with same offset (center to the door knob to the edge of the door).

Dave

Edit: I see that I'm slow on the draw, again.

I went to every hardware store within miles and couldn't find what I was looking for. Eventually I called up PT and they located one for me in the exact same finish as the rest of the metal.... it looks perfect!

I bought a Master Lock brand door knob from Wal Mart. I used the original door jam plate as the one that came with the lock, required me to chisel out more wood. So it fits nice and tight and looks great. No sweat!

Can't help but think of the fun you will have when the nosy 4yr old starts playing with the new lock.

I found one at Wally World. I keep one key hanging on a hook near the TT entry door and the other on my truck key chain.

Get the lockable type----

Get the lockable type that locks from the inside but can be unlocked from the outside with a small "tool" that comes with the knob. There will be a small hole in the outside knob that you insert the "tool" in to unlock the door from the outside. Hide the tool from the four year old, fact of DON'T even let the four year old know about it.

that's the type I purchased. I keep that little key thing in the kitchen drawer.

Bought a Brinks door lock set from Walmart and got a little lucky. Only had to change the handles, the internals could be reused so I didn't need to trim any of the door. The color was even close to the original!
