Bathtub surround question

I am about to take delivery of my 318bhs. Can someone tell me if the bathtub is constructed with a lip to go up behind the surround walls or not? I am trying to determine whether those seams will need caulking or not to keep the moisture out. If so, I will ask my dealer to do it when before I take it home. Thanks!

My 303RKS is not caulked.
You might want to check with PT before you caulk. Some places are left uncaulked on purpose. If water somehow got behind the shower wall, leaving the bottom uncaulked will allow the water to drain. The lip of the floorpan, which the shower wall overlaps, should be sufficient to keep water out.

Gary read my mind, really there's no possible way to get water into those seems unless you turn your trailer upside down.... some residential shower inserts are built the same way.

So you guys are saying that the tub is built with a lip? Thats really what I'm trying to get the answer to. If it does, I agree caulk is not necessary. If not though, water could easily get back to the fiber wall.

I have the shower stall and not the tub. The shower stall's floorpan does have a lip that fits under the the wall.
I would think the tub does the same, but use PT's contact page to ask them so you'll know for sure.
Here's the link; Prime Time Manufacturing, Manufacturers of travel trailers and fifth wheels
Let us know what you find out.
