On the last day of our very first camp out and the jackknife sofa in the bunkhouse got broke. It was layed out in the bed position and the kids were sitting on the edge of it. All the screws holding the frame on the wood deck pulled out. Any suggestions on how to redo this? I can add thicker screws, but didn't know how well that would hold.

If I was you, I'd attempt to fix it myself, with bigger/longer screws, or add some new wood, whatever is reqiired to fix it. The dealer won't fix it as well as you can do it yourself, from what I have seen. Randy
An old trick my Dad taught me years ago is, fill the holes with caulk, then stuff with toothpicks breaking them off flush, then reattach with original screws.
I've used this fix a lot of times over the years and it hasn't failed me yet.

My dad showed me the same trick but used wood glue instead of caulk. Was thinking about that as a possible fix... thanks!

We always used the caulk because it held well and was easy to remove the screws if need be.
I never tried the wood glue. I don't see how it would be any different. Either way should work.
