Bump in wall
Today I was washing my unit and noticed a bump in the wall above the left corner of my rear slide. Doesn't appear to be hollow and I was curious what is causing it? I'm not sure if it was there when I bought it..I never noticed it before. No cracks in that spot but I'm wondering if I should be concerned.
Here is a pic..

Hard to tell what's going on from the pic.
When I experienced delam on my previous tt you could push in the bump/bubble. If there is no give to it I wouldn't think that delam would be the problem.
If you get the chance it's probably worth letting your dealer look at it. For peace of mind if nothing else.

Nope. I always clean the tops and check before I slide them in. I'm hoping rv guy Might have an idea if he sees this thread. Before I store it for the winter I'll have the dealer look at it. I am oping it's nothing.

Kozzy - pretty sure you're looking at a seam between panels. Give me your floorplan and I'll check our wall layout to make sure. Assuming it's a seam, it's probably nothing more than cosmetic. However, when something shows up like this that didn't used to be there, it's always a good idea to have it checked out.

That's what I was thinking. But I want to be sure. It's a 318bhs. Thanks

i would also check the 4 corner jacks to make sure you haven't torqued one down too tight which could possibly twist the body, particularly at the narrowest points of the walls. i've seen a trailer at the campground which was jacked in excess on one corner and that resulted in the entry door becoming jammed and the siding above the door buckleing

Kozzy - did some checking. On both of your slides (front and back) there is a panel seam within a couple of inches of the left corner. This is surely what you are seeing. Could there be an issue of sorts? Yes. But, we are inclined to think it's more cosmetic than structural. Your dealer should be able to easily tell, though.

My jacks come down together , and I don't think I am over touring them...I lower them until I see the camper just start to rise, then I stop. This seems to provide the best stability. Plus the motors start to lag down so I can tell weight is on them and I stop..
Rv guy thanks mill have the dealer look at the end of the season. I checked it and there is nothing moving there when I try and push on it...but I just don't remember noticing it when I bought it either which worries me if it is something that developed....

As much as I hate to admit, seam lines are a rather normal occurrence in laminated products. Lauan varies in thickness from the mills. If you get a sheet slightly undersized placed next to a sheet that's slightly oversized, you get lines. The same could be said for your aluminum tubes and the foam. However, given the location, you can rule out foam and tubes.
I doubt over-cranking the jacks has anything to do with it.
Keep an eye on it to make sure, but I think you're fine.

Much appreciated. I have been using it a lot and will be in it for 2 weeks starting Thursday so I'll keep an eye on it..I tried pushing on it and it doesn't have any give..is solid...as long as it doesn't get worse ill have the dealer take a look a it before I put it in storage for the winter...

Well the dealer looked at it...and took photos and I believe was sending them to Prime Time. Cosmetic or not I think the more I look at it and get nervous I'm going to have to get his fixed. It has not gotten worse that I can tell...but it bothers me

You may be creating more problems than fixing. I understand your concerns but unless it is going back to the factory, I would not let a dealer try to fix this problem. They tear that apart and you can have a leaky seam between the wall and the roof. Then delamination will be soon to follow or ceiling damage. I had a problem with spider cracks in the filon fiberglass of my last trailer. Took it back to the factory where they replaced the side walls. Did not seal the roof and wall seem. Ended up with ceiling damage. It is a tough choice.

When I bring it back to the dealer I will tell them to have the factory do the repairs. It a not even a year old yet, and should not have that bulge there. The more I look at it, the more I can tell it is not an uneven seem, but and actually issue...plus I found the pictures I took of the unit the day I picked it up....and there was no bulge. So now I am a little more concerned.

I think you are right to be concerned.
This could also be caused by a twisted frame issue since the buckle is at the top corner of a slide cutout. A pretty good rack (like a curb strike) might have bent something that is showing up at that small area of wall.

Well now I. Getting. Little concerned. The bump in the wall is getting a little worse....I think a weld on the frame came apart and is pushing out wards. I'm guessing this is gonna be a fun repair to deal with.....
