Cable problems

I have a 2014 Crusader with a Legend TV. i cannot figure out how to receive cable channels. I plug cox cable to the top connector on the outside of the RV and have the TV connected to the connector that has the power booster (booster is off).

I have run scans as well.

Any advise?

Are you sure your booster is off and your tv is plugged into the cable jack vs satellite jack. I have to set TV to cable and not air then hit the autoscan feature

Booster is off. I have 2 jacks and I am assuming the jack with the booster is the cable and the other is the satellite. I set the tv to cable and run auto scan but scan does not recognize any channels.

My son helped get reception once but I think it was an accident and I can no longer remember the correct combination.

Try the other outside connection. Maybe they are mislabeled.

Cable problems

One is satellite and the other is for your rooftop antenna

Is one labled cable and one labled satellite??

The booster is only for the antenna - not used for cable or satellite reception

The outside jacks are labeled and have tried both with no success.
The inside jacks are not labeled. However, one jack has the power booster button, which is the one I have used for cable with the booster off.

Thanks to you all for your responses.

Do you get stations from the antenna with the booster on? Also, pull the plate off on the outside and make sure the cable is attached (satellite cable will be orange, cable wire should be grey or black) and that the labels are correct. If that all looks correct, then you will have to look for a loose or non-existant connection elsewhere......maybe at a splitter that splits the cable feed to the bedroom or behind the booster plate.......which reminds me, ..... can you get any channels in the bedroom?

I know some places we go we have to get a small cable box from the front office to get the digital cable channels. Not sure if this is the problem but just an idea.

Are you at a campground? If so you may want to ask them. I was at a campground a few weeks ago and after working for a day the cable went out. I checked with the office and they said cable was working. An employee came out to the site and already knew what was wrong, there was a booster for the area at the pedestal next to mine. The guy leaving that morning accidentally shut it off.

I do get channels with the antenna. Will have to check out connections.

I do not have a TV in the bedroom even though the unit is outfitted with jacks in the bedroom.

Thanks

If possible, hook up a Tv in the bedroom and see if you get channels. If you do, then it sounds like they missed the connection from the splitter to the main Tv. Usually they run the cable to the main Tv area then split it off to go to the bedroom.

My outside Jacks are labeled wrong, top being cable and bottom being satalite. When we swapped to the one labeled satalite and shut off the booster, then rescan with cable setting then it worked.
