Check Frame on Sanibel

First, let me say I love my Sanibel. I purchased mine in May 2012 from McGeorge Rolling Hills RV Dealership in VA. (I highly recommend them for sales and service. See Taz for sales.). Following my purchase, I took off on a 8,000+ mile road trip across the country (a great time). On the trip, I started to notice the caulking like material being pushed up out of the seam on the left side of the trailer between the bedroom slide and the kingpin unit (over the cab). I didn't think too much of it at the time, but since I had the trailer in for routine maintenance I thought I would at least get it caulked again. Terry, the service manager took it back for service. 30 minutes later he advised me that the frame had actually separated. He advised that he had seen this on another Sanibel. The labor alone to repair this was estimated to be 40 hours. Thankfully, PrimeTime considered this a warranty issue so no cost to me. The McGeorge team welded a number of extra cross supports to reinforce the frame. I have had no issues since then. Since I know my trailer was not the first, I thought it was worth advising others on.
