Couple more Upgrades and Repairs

Last weekend we did a couple more upgrades and repairs to the Lacrosse 318bhs, one that I thought would be worth sharing.

One the the repairs involved the Sleep and Play lounge. The lounge is mounted to a platform held up by a ledger board screwed into the wall. Last time we were camping I sat on the edge of the bed to tell my son goodnight and I heard crack and the bed gave way a little. It didnt crash down but I realized the 200 lbs sitting on the edge is to much force on the ledger.

The fix, I placed a down leg from the ledger to the floor which has given it much more stability and strength.

We also added towel rigs in the bath, magnetic holders for the sofa drawer so it doesnt slide out, tie down strap for the dinnette table and switch to disconnect the battery for storage.

Hope this helps

We have the exact same model and would love to see pics of your towel rigs in the bath and the magnetic latches on the couch drawer. These are two mods I need to do also.

I had the same thing happen in my 318BHS, first night in it last year. Except mine did come right away from the wall and hit the floor. Thankfully the dealer fixed it and it hasn't been an issue since, i've sat on the edge of the bed without any feeling of it about to give out and i've slept on it several times since with my son (he's just turning 2) The dealer said something about it not being installed properly at factory, but personally I think they just used undersized screws that aren't capable of holding adult weight on the edge of the Sleep and Play.
